Traditional paper filters restrict airflow through a vehicle's intake system, limiting the engine's power potential. aFe's Pro Dry S dry-media air filters increase airflow providing improved throttle response, horsepower, torque, and fuel economy. And at 99.4%* filtration levels, Pro Dry S filters accomplish all this without sacrificing engine protection. Perhaps the greatest benefit of new Pro Dry S filters is the convenience of servicing these oil-free filters. Most traditional paper filter manufacturers suggest that filters be changed at least every 12,000 miles. Pro Dry S filters have service intervals of up to 50,000 miles in standard driving conditions. To clean a dirty Pro Dry S filter lightly tap it on the ground or vacuum with a standard house or shop vacuum. For a full cleaning the filter may be washed with soap and water to return it to near-new condition and 100% airflow capacity. Costly solvents and cleaning kits are not required to clean our new Pro Dry S filters. 	2-LAYER SYNTHETIC CONSTRUCTION The Outer screen provides strength and prevents damage to filter media. The Thick layer slows air velocity so dust particles fall out of suspension and become trapped in fabric fibers. And the High efficiency thin layer traps remaining dust particles without slowing airflow. The Inner screen provides support and quality without the need for additional internal structures.
	Tap Clean You can tap your Pro Dry S filter and return it to 85% of its original airflow. Simply remove the filter from the intake kit and lightly tap it on a solid surface. Tap and turn the top and bottom of the filter until most of the visible dirt has been released. Reinstall the filter in your vehicle. Do not apply oil to the filter.
	Vacuum Clean Vacuum clean: You can vacuum your Pro Dry S filter and return it to 96% of its original airflow. Remove the filter from the intake kit and vacuum away the dirt using a shop vacuum or regular house vacuum. Reinstall the filter in your vehicle. Do not apply oil to the filter.
	Wash Clean You can wash your Pro Dry S filter and return it to 100% of its original airflow. Remove the filter from the intake kit. Run the filter under running water from the inside out. Turn the filter to remove all visible and hidden dirt. If your filter is coated with grease or road grime, it may be necessary to use soap and water to get it fully clean. You can completely submerge the filter in a mixture of warm water and mild detergent (use a common household detergent such as dish or liquid laundry soap) if needed. Rinse clean. Allow the filter to dry completely (our synthetic media dries quickly and should dry within a few hours in normal conditions). Reinstall the filter in your vehicle. Do not apply oil to the filter.
