I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab with the polished tailgate handle. Very simple and easy to install. The instructions are very easy to understand and to install the polished tailgate handle. Just be careful when taking the old tailgate handle out, not scratch the paint. Same as installing the new polished tailgate handle. There is really nothing hard at all by installing this polished tailgate handle. 100% WELL SATISFIED!!!!!!! GREAT TRUCK ACCESSORY PRODUCT!!!!!! Recommend very highly!!!!!!

Great solid polished rear door handles. I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab with the polished door handles. The handles are very easy to install. The instuctions are very easy an just take your time. Becareful care when taking the old rear door handles out to not scratch the paint that's behind the door handles. Same as installing the new rear door handles. It's not that hard at all to convirt the parts out of the old rear door handles to install into the new rear door handles. Just follow the instructions an take your time. 100% WELL SATISFIED with ALL the polished front, rear, and tailgate handles that I had installed myself on my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab!!!!!! GREAT OUTSTANDING TRUCK ACCESSORY PRODUCT!!!!!!!!

Great solid door hadles. I have 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab with power locks. The front door handles were easy to install. Just follow the instructions given an take your time. The handles are very easy to take off the door. Just be careful to not scratch the paint behind the door handle while taking the old handle off an put the new handle on. It's not that hard at all to convert the old parts from the back of the old handle to put into the new handle. My only tiny problem I had was the front drivers door with the key hole. My key was very close of going all the way in. But was stopping the key from going all the way in. Was my key is triangular shape an has the electric start, panic, and door lock/unlock buttons on it. I had to shave both very bottom side edges of the plastic triangular shape just very li ttle enough for the key to go in all the way. It didn't take to much to shave for the key to go in all the way. Just becareful to not shave the edges to high to hit the little circuit board. Just trim the very lower edges enough till the key goes in all the way. If you have a regular key it should go in with any problems at all. ONCE AGAIN..... GREAT TRUCK ACCESSORY PRODUCT!!!!!!

I really like these door handles, they look much better than chrome covers. They were easy to change and work really well.

The handles are well made and look good but the instructions are not the best and the replacement handles do not exactly replace the originals. The original key mechanism is held in place by a spring clip and the replacement has no provision for this clip. There was a philips head screw on the outer edge of where the key mechanism fits into the handle and I had to find a longer screw with the same thread and use a larger washer to hold the key mechanism in place. Not sure if this is what this screw location was for and there was no mention of it in the directions but I had to adapt something or send the handles back.

Handles are superb in appearance and craftmanship. Handles work GREAT so far. Only had them a few days. However, my installer didn't appreciate the difficulity in installing the handles. He said he had to remove the internal workings from the old handles and install them into the new handles. Caused him some problems with installation. They appeared whole to me, but he's the expert. I've known the installer for 10 years and trust him and his opinion.

Another no brainer like the tailgate installation. Only, I had to cut the plastic insert that goes over the rod, in order to remove it from the OEM handle. The handles fit well and look great. Mike, San Jose, CA

Installation instructions not very specific as to rod and clip removal
from OEM part. Still well made and looks great on. I found that the nut behind the window runner is easier to secure with a 3/8 crows foot.

Pros:The handle is beautiful. Cons: It does not have the spring. You have to tear down (destroy) your OEM handles to use that spring. It does not come with gaskets. I had to buy gasket material and make the gaskets.

Would only recommend this if you already have a locking tailgate. If you want to convert to a locking tailgate you would be better off getting the factory replacement.
