Description

The New APC LED tailgate light bar from APC will allows you to add safety and style to your truck or SUV. The APC tailgate LED light bar features a side to side 3rd brake light, turn signal lights, and running lights. APC offers their tailgate light bar with or without reverse lights and in 49" or 60" lengths to accommodate both small and larg SUVs and trucks. Simple plug-in installation. The APC LED tailgate light bar kit includes flat four hitch connectors to quickly plug into existing trailer hitch wiring and attaches easily to vehicle with 3M adhesive foam tape. Universal fit and mounting with a water resistant contruction.

As far as the actual product goes, it seems to work great. Only time will tell if it is durable or not. The ad and the instructions in the light bar say that it should come with adhesive strips to avoid drilling holes, when, in fact, mine didn't. I drilled anyway just so i know it would stay. Also, it has a plug for a four-wire trailer outlet. Really they should provide information and hardware to wire it directly into the system. (I scotch locked the wires into my trailer harness). Other than that, it looks really neat and it got here when they said it would.

Light is nice when it all lights up. 1st light came broke due to UPS, but realtruck.com was the best at giving a replacement at no cost. As for the light, I had to hardwire it because I didn't have the little plug on my 02 silverado 1500hd. about 3 leds on each side flicker when parked and while driving. So it might just be the light, or maybe they are pieces of crap, but I felt to tell the truth. It wasn't realtruck.com's fault it came broken and the second one isn't much better. I will buy from realtruck.com again in the future.

The package did not contain any instructions for hooking up the "Back Up" lighting. Called the 800# for assistance and was told that number was not accessable for my area "GOT NOTHING" Ended up calling a truck customiziging place to find out how to get the back up lights to work. Instructions said just plug into existing plug but fails to mention tapping into any wiring on the truck for back up lights.
