Product look and style was what I expected. The installation was a bit more difficult than advertised or expected. The product did arrive as promised in the time frame listed.

The Auto-vent Bug Deflector was easy to mount using the two center holes. The outside holes couldn't be used because they matched up with a thin part of the hood. Two-way sticky tape was useless. Otherwise, it has worked well and still looks good. It was easily removed for our harse winter.

The Bugflector itself I like very much. The problem was with installation. Matching the holes of the Bugflector with the holes in my truck hood proved to be a very tight fit and because of this, the plastic screws provided for installation kept popping out resulting in me having to come up with another set of screws that would hold it securely. If I could have installed it the way it was apparently supposed to be installed, I would have given it 5 out of 5 stars.

The AVS shade looks great... HOWEVER - it creates a lot of wind noise (that sounds almost like heavy rain on the windsheild at speeds in excess of 50 mph.) After a lot of calls and so on to AVS (literally a couple of weeks - very frustrating because they said they did not have a fix) - finally on pressing AVS I got a tech there say that it (the deflector) caused turbulence that rattled or vibrated the main window weatherstrip on both sides. This weatherstrip vibrates up and down on the 07' and later Tahoes with the AVS bug shield and "taps" quickly on the window frame to sound like rain! The fix I was told, is to apply a liberal amount of clear silicone in the weatherstrip channel to hold down and secure the weatherstrip. I put a bead of silicone down in the weatherstrip channel - and still have the noise. I am considering removing the AVS bugsheild becasue the noise is ruining the positives of having the chrome bug shield. Bottomline - it looks GREAT - it works terrible...
