When I get up to speed 70/80 mph, there is a tapping sound that comes from the bug sheld hitting the hood. Talked with the nice people at the real truck and the manufacturer was suppose to send an adjustment tape kit.
Talk about a joke. They sent 3 rows of the rubber dots, that you get with it initially. REALLY? I'm just not willing to put ruber dots all over the front of the truck to get this thing to do what it's suppose too.
Oh and if you have a Chevy Silverado 1500.. .DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It's a known defect according to the manufacturer.

Product arrived within several days of order. Packaging secured product properly and visual inspection proved manufacturing line quality.
Installation instructions were simple and specific to the make of my truck. I followed the instructions, step by step and opted to secure the product with the optional self-tapping screws. Once the installation was completed, I lowered the hood and only then did I notice that the deflector was off center by about 1/2".
If I hadn't installed the product, I wouldn't notice that the deflector wasn't square but I know and will take steps to loosen grill, remove the screws that I put in and straighten out the alignment and reset. I'll double check the next go around before anything gets screwed into place. Shame on me for not checking before securing.
I'd like to blame the manufacturer or the instructions but I really have to accept the reality of responsibility lying with the installer. Verify, validate then affix permanently, or...look before you screw.

On in minutes and looks great. Only need a phillips head screw driver. Two of the square openings near the center under the hood lip get no screws. Be careful to insert the plastic screw backings in the proper holes. The only reason I scored the quality down was because of this and the fact that I will not know how durable this is until i have had it a while. No complaints though!

Great looking, no doubt. Excellent quality, no doubt. A little pricey, but that's okay, you get what you pay for. It was a little tough to install, however. I installed this on my new 2013 Toyota Tundra Double Cab. I had some nervous time when it came time to pop the grill off the hood; the instructions did not relate well to my truck. I ended up taking more of the grill apart than I actually had to. It took me about an hour to get the job done. But, it did go well and the bug shield looks great and works great.

Installed AVS bug shield on 2002 Dodge ram. Install is straight forward & only took about 20 minutes to half hour. Fits in holes right under grill on this model of truck. Looks great on the truck, will see soon if it stops some of the bugs from hitting the windshield.
