The company had to send me 3 to get it right. The first one showed up cracked. The second one showed up with no chrome just above the logo and made it in a box to me. The third one was good to go. Now for the packing. They pack it in a large box. When it showed up I was thinking what is this. When I opened it there was no packing just 1 bug shield in a box that could of held like 10 or 15 bug shields. No wonder I got a broken one. At least bubble wrap or peanuts or something. Maybe a smaller box. I don't know. The last thing was that every time I talked to coustomer service they told me that a lot of people were having issues with their products. Come on if you know fix the problem.
You would think this would be straight forward enough to install. On un wrapping the product the first thing that jumped out at me being a quality manager was the lack of chrome coverage on the underside of the part. large spots were missing coverage. Being on the underside in all fairness it is not visible however it is leading me to believe if peeling will begin in those spots and continue to the face of the deflector when the wind will make short work of it. Time will tell!
On another issue that I hope to save another buyer some time is the direction are clear enough except they are missing one important footnote. After mounting the deflector in the assigned hole locations and with the supplied rinky dink attachment screws it looked good until I went to shut the hood! The hood would not latch to matter how hard I tried. Something was not right. My first thought was the deflector was made wrong because it was bottoming out right at the curve of the defector but after further investigation it turned out that on my 2013 RAM their was a hood seal from the factory that was acting as a spacer. I had to remove the deflector which ruined two of the four rinky dink mounting screws and then remove the factory seal. I reused two of the factory seal mounting hardware to re attach the deflector and all was good. A little footnote in the instruction noting the presence of the hood seal and the removal will be necessary would certainly have saved some aggravation. Now that it is on it does work and look great hence the 4 stars. Only time will tell if it begins to peel. Ron Syracuse NY
Bought this bug shield hoping this would look good on new truck, after it arrived I opened box and noticed several areas where chrome did not completely cover shield. Poor craftsmanship, and device did not completely fit truck as it was molded to fit maybe another model. Would not recommend this to anyone looking.
