Wissota Announces New Regional Points Program for 2008

DASSEL. MN (April 24) – The WISSOTA Promoters Association board of directors has finalized the payout structure for the new regional points program for WISSOTA.

All three regions, Eastern, Central and Western, will have the same payoff structure for all divisions: WISSOTA Late Model, WISSOTA Modified, WISSOTA Super Stock, WISSOTA Midwest Modified, WISSOTA Street Stock and WISSOTA Mod Four.The payoff for the WISSOTA Limited Late Model program will be determined at a later date.
The top 5 payouts for each division will be as follows:
Late Models:
1st $1,200
2nd 750
3rd 550
4th 400
5th 300
Modifieds:
1st $1,000
2nd 600
3rd 500
4th 400
5th 300
Super Stocks:
1st $600
2nd 400
3rd 300
4th 250
5th 200
Street Stocks:
1st $500
2nd 300
3rd 200
4th 150
5th 100
Midwest Modifieds:
1st $400
2nd 200

Each WISSOTA licensed driver’s first 20 shows in any respective region will be used to determine the final rundown for each region. The first 20 shows must also fall into the regular weekly racing season for WISSOTA, which ends on the first Tuesday after Labor Day, which is September 2, 2008.
Any WISSOTA licensed driver may compete in any or all regional points programs and any multiple division licensed driver may compete in each respective WISSOTA racing division in each region.
The Eastern region series includes: Emo Speedway, Hibbing Raceway, Proctor Speedway, Grand Rapids Speedway, Bemidji Speedway, North Central Speedway, Golden Spike Speedway, Princeton Speedway, Kasson Speedway, Chateau Raceway, Deer Creek Speedway, Superior Speedway, ABC Raceway, Rice Lake Speedway, Red Cedar Speedway, Kopellah Speedway, Eagle Valley Speedway, Shawano Speedway, Langlade County Speedway, Central Wisconsin Raceway, Riverside Raceway, Tomahawk Speedway, TNT Speedway and Tri-Oval Speedway.
The Central region includes: Arlington Raceway, Brown County Speedway, Buffalo River Race Park, Casino Speedway, Dacotah Speedway, Dakota State Fair Speedway, Devils Lake Speedway, Fiesta City Speedway, Greenbush Race Park, I-90 Speedway, Jamestown Speedway, KRA Speedway, Madison Speedway, Miller Speedway, Norman County Raceway, Red River Coop Speedway, Red River Valley Speedway, Redwood Speedway, River Cities Speedway, Sheyenne River Speedway, Southwest Speedway, Tri-County Speedway and Viking Speedway.
The Western region includes: BMP Speedway, Casper Speedway, Electric City Speedway, Gallatin Speedway, Gillette Thunder Speedway, Ripple Ridge Raceway and Sweetwater Speedway. More info
