Use of Aircraft Aluminum Makes New Tonneau Cover Lighter Weight and Easier to Handle

DETROIT, MI- ProGear L.L.C. has introduced a light-weight, hard tonneau cover that protects cargo and is exceptionally easy to handle. Built with fiberglass and rugged 6063 aircraft aluminum, the low profile covers feature a patented bolt-on latching bracket system that mounts to the truck bed with no drilling required for most truck models. This system allows quick-release removal and re-attachment of the cover during everyday use, without tools.

The locking mechanism fastens both the tonneau panels and the tailgate. Weighing in at as little as 45 lbs., both the one-piece and two-piece models can be ordered to fit almost all full size and compact pickup trucks.

The two-piece unit has front and rear panels that provide fast, convenient access to the entire pickup box. The two panels can be neatly folded for storage in the truck bed or in a garage. The one-piece unit provides a sleek look with uninterrupted lines. Gas-operated struts facilitate opening and closing, using the same locking system as the two-piece model.

TopDawg covers can be painted for added value, with sizes to fit most OEM’s vehicles, including GM, Ford, DaimlerChrysler, Toyota, Nissan and Mazda. A single part number covers most of the market. TopDawg’s unique design means that ProGear can also cost-effectively produce custom, made-to-order sizes (at their 300,000 sq. ft. Detroit manufacturing facility). Materials and workmanship are warranted for three years.
