Pickup truck buyers who need something with a little more muscle can turn to the Ford F-250 Super Duty. The ¾ ton truck is often seen on the road doing what it does best, hauling and pulling big loads.
K&N Engineering has developed a K&N air intake system (57-2570) that is street legal in 50 states for the 2006 Ford F250 Super Duty with a 5.4 liter V8 engine, the 2005 Ford F-250 Super duty with a 5.4 liter V8 engine and the 2005 Ford Excursion with a 5.4 liter V8 engine. K&N dynamometer test show a horsepower gain of 21.48 @ 4387 RPM. The original factory intake tube and factory air box are restrictive. For an immediate performance increase simply remove the stock intake tube along with the factory air box and replace it with the K&N custom engineered air intake tube.
The new air intake system pulls air through a K&N lifetime replacement chrome top air filter which increases airflow and filtering capacity. The powder coated steel heat shield replaces the stock airbox as it isolates and protects the K&N air filter from engine heat. This results in cooler air entering the engine for an immediate power gain.
K&N also relocated the mass air sensor from the factory air box to the K&N intake tube with a gasket that is included. With a K&N air intake system consumers can count on extra horsepower whether driving around town, towing or hauling.
Designed to be installed with simple hand tools in 90 minutes or less, our K&N air intake systems are backed by the K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty. Call a product line specialists at RealTruck.Com today for more information.
