Time has come and we are finally going To Sema also known as Automotive Aftermarket Industries Week. On our quest to find the greatest car and truck accessories in the world, we started out with a beautiful day in Jamestown, ND from RealTruck.Com headquarters. For the drive to Fargo, ND to catch the plane, we opted for driving the mini van, instead of driving the big bad truck. The great plains of North Dakota has many great sites, but today it’s was just a regular old ND days, except 70 degrees in ND on Oct 31st is pretty grand weather. We met up with Katie in Fargo for a late lunch at the almost world famous Space Aliens Bar & Grille.
After lunch we headed to the mall to get some new walking shoes. I heard the average person puts on about 30 miles of walking at the Sema Show. I haven’t confirmed this stat, but I know from past experience that great walking shoes can make or break your smile. At the airport, all was well except an hour and a half flight departure delay. I’d like to tell you the reason of the delay, but the airlines are not the best at telling a flyer what caused the delay. It a PR policy I am guessing. In the air we go and 3 hours later….Vegas.
We are staying at the Imperial Palace (original owned by Ralph Engelstad, a ND native). Our room is your typical Vegas lodging with a good view. Traditional Vegas rooms aren’t known for to many perks as I think they don’t want us hanging out in the room, rather they prefer non-stop gambling. But, if I want to watch basic cable TV, we got it. We called it a night pretty late and plan to go to the Las Vegas Convention Center in the morning to see the action of 500 forklifts wilding driving around to get the booths set up. Stay tuned…
