Got the Step bars for my 2009 Tacoma regular cab with lifters. They were incredibly easy to install, LOOK fantastic, and work better than a standard tube step would have. Toyota is not making anything but a basic gray/silver tube step for a regular cab (and it looks cheesy – your’s look GREAT!) I’d be happy to provide a photo of my truck with the bars installed if you’d like to add to add it to your photo gallery for others who have a regular cab and need a step-bar. Every so often you hear a story that makes you take note. One which motivates you to do something to help because it’s just feels like the right thing to do.
The story of ingenuous and hard working Rachel Harris is a story like that. Here is an opportunity to help someone we feel is deserving; someone who will no doubt pay forward the gifts she receives along the way so others might benefit also. Funny how little gifts seem to pay the biggest dividends. This young woman has a dream to attend to University of Notre Dame and becoming a pediatric endocrinologist. However, financial limitations are preventing her from possibly attaining that dream. She has built a website that outlines her story of determination and hope. Here are 4 cools things i have run across lately.
So… here they are.
1. www.zappos.com: talk about a well set up ecommerce site. This is it.
2. www.twitter.com: well this is new to me, but it has some real benefits for business and personal. Kind of a facebook on speed. follow me on www.twitter.com/realtruck or RealTruck Deals at www.twitter.com/realtruckdeals
3. Speedweek in Florida: really it should be called speedweeks as it goes much longer than a week. We went down this year and hit the dirt tracks in the area. Check it out at www.volusiaspeedwaypark.net. If you can go to florida and you’re a race fan…plan to go the 1st or 2nd week in Feb.
4. Donny Schatz: Everybody knows Donny, well if you’re from North Dakota you do. We met his wonderful mother while in Volusia, she manages the apparel sales. Get your Danny gear at www.donnyschatzmotorsports.com . Its nice to see North Dakotan #1 in this sport.

My Good Friend & RealTruck’s V.P. of Operations has a neat story about Gratitude. Basically, the message is how do we stay grateful for something while we have it. Often it seems almost human nature to have a greater appreciation for something once its gone. So, why not have that same level of appreciation now. Certianly the first thing i can do is be aware of what i’m grateful for.
