1.  How did you first get in the automotive aftermarket industry?   I was actually a salesman at a beef packing plant and applied for a marketing position at Saddleman, Inc., way back in 1988 and have been in the industry ever since.

2.  What’s your company’s hot product this year?  The new Catch It floor mat is a terrific product.  It’s designed well, is both functional and attractive and has a perfect fit.  We’re also very excited about our new Aero Skins front end protector.  We think it will add some vitality into the hood shield market.  It’s got a subtle and sleek look and is very functional as well.

3.  What’s your favorite ride?  Classic Ride – 34 Ford Coupe.  Muscle Ride – 66 GTO.  Family ride – Buick Lucerne.  Sports Car – NEW 2010 Camaro.

4.  What do you think the hottest product category is?  It’s got to be the new Catch It Floor Mats by Nifty or the new Aero Skins by AVS, of course.

5.  How do you think ecommerce has impacted our industry?   Ecommerce has had a huge impact on the industry.  It has been very progressive and has made more products more readily available, while allowing consumers to have a wealth of information at their fingertips.

6.  What’s your favorite hobby?  Coaching youth baseball.  Nothing is more American than baseball and teaching kids the strategy behind the game is a blast.  I’ve been lucky enough to coach kids to championships in Rookie (7-8 yrs), Minor (8-9 yrs), Major (10-12) All Star (including a 5th place finish in the WBBA World Series).  Last year we tied for 1st place in a 3 state 14 & under Super League.

7.  What website would you like to give a plug to?   Wow, that’s a tough one.  There are so many, but I’ve recently put a page up on facebook.  I didn’t really get it at first, but I can’t believe how many people I’ve reconnected with.  It’s a great way to stay in touch.  For automotive accessories though is there anywhere else but RealTruck.com? 

8.  Describe your work culture?   Very busy……never a moment of downtime.

9.  What’s your favorite place to travel to?  I’ve got a lot of favorites, but to name a couple, Hawaii, & Williamsburg, VA,
