Happy President’s Day America

President’s Day originated in 1880 and was celebrated on George Washington’s Birthday.  It was first implemented by an Act of Congress for government offices in the District of Columbia, which later expanded to include all federal offices.  President’s Day is the first federal holiday that celebrated an American citizen.  January 1^st, 1971, the holiday was changed from George Washington’s Birthday to the 3^rd Monday in February.
