2011 Nissan Rogue

2011 Nissan Rogue

The Rogues seem to have a little issue with visibility.  I’m not talking about being seen on the road or even looking nice in the showroom.  The Nissan Rogue ranked worst out of 10 small crossovers in a comparison test two years ago when it came to blind-spot visibility.  According to a recent Cars.com review of the 2011 Nissan Rogue, the issue doesn’t seem to have been resolved.

All that aside, there are some good points to the Rogue’s interior design:

“… the cabin materials are actually quite good for this class. There’s padding where it’s needed, and panels all the way down to knee level have a decent, consistent finish. Storage areas abound, with a spacious center console and a mammoth glove compartment.”

With so many other crossovers on the market and with its plain looks, does its name really hold water?  It may loose some ground when you take into consideration the starting MSRP $21,210 and $25,680 doesn’t include much cargo space.  In fact, the cargo space trails behind the competition in a big way.  Are buyers paying attention, though?

As a crossover owner myself, I’ve found the cargo space and seating area to be a couple of the biggest factors to owning the vehicle.  I’ll be honest, I’m not too terribly concerned with the exterior looks.  When it comes to using my crossover, I’m normally in a practical state of mind.  I do think it looks sharp and, forgive me, I’m grateful that I’m at a point in my life where I don’t have to drive a mini-van.  No offense to the mini-van drivers of the world!
