The New Lamborghini SUV
Not since the discovery of peanut butter and jelly… or peanut butter and chocolate for that matter… has their been a marriage of two opposites that has been so advantageous. Maybe.
Lamborghini and Porsche are joining forces to develop a 4-door SUV concept vehicle.
Why are they doing this? To annoy Ferrari of course! From the horses mouth, Stefan Winkelmann (Lamborghni’s Head Cheese) “Ferrari can’t follow into this market, because it has no links to SUVs at all. Lamborghini is entirely credible as an SUV maker, but it can’t do it alone. And as Porsche has shown it already knows how to do it, it makes sense to work together.”
Strong words. We would almost reckon those were fightin’ words. Not at the level of WWE Main Event Smackdown, but close.
Would you buy and SUV from the sports car icon? Honestly, it looks a little chunky to us. Nothing at all like the smooth lines we’re used to seeing from that brand. At first glance, one might mistake if for a 2nd cousin once removed of the Hummer.
