The Herrick
Here at RealTruck.com we decided to have a day dedicated to the peeps who rode horses, invented baked beans, wore chaps (because they had to) and chewed tobacco (puh ching)!
This day will forever be remembered as Western Day!
So, hold onto your saddles ladies and gents because you’re about to witness the RealTruck team all decked out in their finest western apparel (some wear this everyday…Lucy..;)

1968 GMC Truck with Jet Turbine Engine
I suppose one could take the pedestrian approach to restoring your classic truck and try to obtain original parts. That’s fine and dandy if you plan on hitting up the regional circuit of outdoor car shows during the summer. You could win a prize or two with that method, especially if you spend a lot of time on the paint job.
You could do what this feller did. He got it in his head to add a T-50 turbine engine to his 1968 GMC truck. Why? How can one possible answer that? That’s like asking why the sky is blue.

Toyota's RAV4 at Inhabit.com
Bad news electric CUV lovers… Toyota says they won’t be selling their electric version of the RAV4 when it comes out next year to the general public. To get one you have to become part of or organize a neighborhood car sharing program. Pike Research reports that the company is going after specific ‘strategic applications’. Most likely meaning gated / closed communities and fleets.

Toyota Mud Runners Do it Best
These Toyota 4-wheel enthusiasts sure do like to push it to the limit. They define the spirit of mud running. This video is quite enjoyable to watch, especially after a month of voting for immaculate trucks for our Real Ride Contest. (July’s Real Ride Contest on our Facebook Page has just begun, by the way.) It was good to see a little mud fly!
I present to you, a wonderful compilation of mud running trucks getting stuck. Not getting stuck. Swimming. Nearly drowning. At mud running events. Climbing up sandy hills, muddy hills and some lame, not so big hills too.
I forgot to mention snow.
