Behold! Motor Trend is bringing their A-game to YouTube. Showing the world that they’re more than just print and ready to change with the times, Motor Trend has launched their online video presence and did so with gusto! They presented not one, but eight different channels for viewers to get their auto fix.
We’re predicting some long term success considering that after only a few short weeks their views are in the tens of thousands.
Here’s a breakdown on their channel options:
The Downshift is probably the channel we’ll be watching most often. It features car, truck, SUV and Jeep culture and focuses on it’s roots. Everything from low-riders to off-roading; this channel gets down to the nitty gritty and shows you the people who own these vehicles.
Epic Drives takes the most awesome cars in the universe (that we know of) and puts them on the best roads to cruise. You get a new driving experience once a month.
Head 2 Head is a contest between two vehicles. They pit vehicle against vehicle every other Wednesday.
HOT ROD Unlimited comes to you every other Friday. Get treated to the best muscle on the road. The first episode treats us to a couple of dudes rebuilding a 1970 Dodge Super Bee! Motor Trend partners with Hot Rod Magazine to bring you this feature, so you know it’s authentic!
Ignition is the perfect name for this test drive channel Motor Trend created. See the first drives, first tests of the latest vehicles getting ready to hit the market.
On Two Wheels should be totally self explanatory and complete high intensity motorcycling action. The latest in cycle innovation from all over the world!
Roadkill is a fun monthly adventure with Hot Rod Magazine’s David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan as they try to conquer muscle machines.
Wide Open Throttle brings you the auto and motor news from around the world with slick and styled in studio reporting. Brought to you weekly so you can stay up to date on the latest announcements and developments in the auto industry.
All channels are live with premier episode content.
Check out the drag strip testing and breaking! You can’t tell me you aren’t jealous of these dudes’ jobs.
