 Chevy is just one of the many manufacturers that is releasing an electric car. RealTruck.Com will be posting information from time to time on new information relating to electric cars. Here at RealTruck.Com most of us drive pickup trucks, full size pickup trucks, without any regards to the soaring gas prices. General Motors has just released specs for the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The half-ton pickup receives a new optional 6-speed automatic transmission that can be paired with the legacy 5.3-liter and 6.0-liter V-8 engines and newly available 6.2-liter V-8.
The six-speed will initially be available only in crew cab models, but will migrate later this year to regular and extended cab Silverados. It will only be available with a 3.42 rear axle, prioritizing fuel economy over towing prowess.
