Greetings again from RealTruck. Here’s a run down of our latest happenings. Since we kind of took Day 2 of the Sema Show off to tour Zappos main head quarters, we needed to make up some time on Day 3. We were able to cover the truck & suv section, performance, restyling and a little of the tires and wheels area.
 Ford Hot Wheels Truck The Ford booth was pretty impressive. There was a lot going on, from virtual off road video games to assembling a Ford Mustang. Just about every Ford vehicle in the booth was radically customized.
A few other noteworthy stops included the Anzo booth. Anzo, a premium manufacturer of aftermarket tail lights, head lights, off road lights and various LED light products has quite the impressive booth. From radical vehicles to awesome products. All Anzo vehicle lights are DOT approved.
Along the way we stopped by the Scion booth to view the new hot rides from Scion. Wow some rockin cars. We are thinking Scion owners smile big while driving around.
 Night Raider LED Display Hats off to the Plasmaglow crew, who had an incredible display featuring several new LED light products including the new and improved hood scoop night raider LED light kit. The new night raider scanning light kit should be available on RealTruck very soon.
 Camaro on its' side in Magnaflow Booth As for performance, the Magnaflow booth was action packed as usual. This year Magnaflow Exhaust had 2 vehicles in the booth literally on their side so you could clearly see the Magnaflow exhaust kits installed on their hot cars and trucks.
Some of the other booths we visited included Iron Cross Automotive displaying their new heavy duty grille guards and bumpers, SuperSprings and their new Sumo Springs, Pit Stop Products and their new racing seat chairs, Thule featuring a Dewalt equipped work truck and the list could go on and on.
 Ivan from Bak Industries Lastly, as special thanks to Ivan from Bak Industries for the double guns pose for our camera’s. Ivan is one of the finest, kindest and coolest people you will find in our industry. It always great the see enthusiastic vendors like Bak. Bak announced the release of the all new Bak Flip F1 tonneau cover featuring an all new fiberglass reinforced finish creating another option in the Bak Flip series of tonneaus which currently includes the Bak Flip G2, Bak Flip HD, Bak Flip CS and now the all new F1 Bak Flip.

 If you like to think of your truck as an investment, then when adding truck accessories to it resale value should always be considered. After all, there will come a time when you will be selling or trading it in for a newer or bigger vehicle. You’ll want the best possible value for it, right? How can you know which custom truck accessory is going to give you the best value for your buck?
Our first recommendation would be to add an aftermarket exhaust system from Magnaflow or AFE. An aluminum or stainless steel exhaust system from one of these companies not only increases horsepower to your vehicle but they also add tremendous value to it as well. There are a couple of reasons. First, a new exhaust system saves you much needed money at the pumps by improving your overall fuel economy. Did you know that some high performance exhaust systems can show an increase of gas mileage from two to four miles per gallon on average. They also increase your trucks overall power, with gains of up to 10%.
It is this kind of performance which is appealing to both you and any potential buyers. Plus, a steel exhaust on a heavy duty truck simply sounds great. There’s nothing quite like the feeling you get when you hear that baby purr and then roar. All in all, adding an exhaust really ups the value of your ride.
 Another recommendation is to replace your current air filter with a high-flow aftermarket air intake from K&N or Volant. Much like a new exhaust system, an aftermarket air intake systems saves gas while also boosting your engine as much as 25 horsepower! It is an accessory which allows your truck to accelerate faster, handle better, and gain more power and torque. What truck owner wouldn’t want that?
There is no doubt that you want to do all the right things to take care of your investment. Through adding smart accessories to your truck, you not only are protecting your truck in the present, but you are also making it an attractive option for a potential buyer down the road, as well.

 Everyone knows that racing legend Mario Andretti has been a pitchman for MaglaFlow Performance exhaust for a number of years. What many don’t know is that Mario first promoted the value of performance exhaust in providing extra horsepower, torque and improved mileage back in 1957 – to his father! Andretti goes on to explain that what “Papa” Andretti liked most about the United States was that American cars were much more quiet than their European counterparts.
