We found The Batmobile and more hot rides at SEMA 2011
We tried to keep Scott and Josh on task while they were at the SEMA show in Las Vegas this year, but inevitably the guys heard the siren calls of all the crazy hot rides and pimped out trucks that literally covered the show floors. Heck, they adorned every available space the show had available!
Here’s just a few videos they managed to smuggle out before they had to get back to work looking for new car and truck accessories.

The Ranch Legacy Tonneau Truck Lid at SEMA 2011
If RealTruck can claim to be the absolute expert in one thing, you better believe it’s Tonneau Covers. Scott, our CEO, had a blast checking out all the current models of tonneaus that are on the market. We’re pretty cutting edge when it comes to giving you the best tonneaus on the market, so you’d better believe we’ll be carrying them. Here’s some video of some current styles we carry and some sneak peaks of the awesomeness yet to come!

Toyota's RAV4 at Inhabit.com
Bad news electric CUV lovers… Toyota says they won’t be selling their electric version of the RAV4 when it comes out next year to the general public. To get one you have to become part of or organize a neighborhood car sharing program. Pike Research reports that the company is going after specific ‘strategic applications’. Most likely meaning gated / closed communities and fleets.

Ford’s V-6 is in high demand. Engine Plant No. 1 in Brook Park, Ohio makes the 3.7-liter base engine for the F-150 and the 3.5-liter EcoBoost which new owners can now choose as a gas saving option. Both options have been in such high demand this year the plant in Ohio has been hard at work trying to keep up with orders. The 2011 Ford Explorer at Torque News
There are vehicles that can be problematic. This normally happens when someone buys a lemon. In the past this was on a case by case basis. You’d buy a new SUV, drive it off the lot and over the next few years have nothing but drive train issues or the oil pressure light would forever be lit.
More recently though, government standards and regulations are forcing manufacturers to issue recalls when their model years start to exhibit consistent problems. Most responsible manufacturers will even issue recalls for repairs before government involvement to ensure customer satisfaction and to keep a high standard of safety rating with Consumer Reports and other bench marks in the industry like auto magazines.
