Jon Wayne and the Pain are local enough for us to consider them our 'boys'!
We’re still what you might consider a ‘small’ company. We don’t have a large call center and everyone knows everyone. When we do our Secret Santa exchange we work extra hard at disguising our handwriting. We want to make sure our gift recipients can’t guess who their Santa is right away.
So it’s no wonder that some days when the phones slow down a bit, we’ll jam out over the intercom. We’ll even relax in the break room and talk about our favorite music together.
We are large enough to have a nice mixture of tastes. Lots of preference for rock, country, Irish punk (yes, there is one die hard fan), alternative, swing and more…
One of our favorite up and comers is our friends Jon Wayne and the Pain. They’re sort of a mixture of Reggae, Dub-Step and Funk. Our CEO is a big fan! Read the rest of this entry »
Hair so long and luxurious, it was perfect for braids!
Meeting two back to back months of sales goals means that we finally allowed our CEO, Scott Bintz, to cut is hair. He was growing it out to encourage us along not only with meeting sales goals, but with incorporating our new and improved Guiding Principles. This blogger’s suspicion is that his favorite Principle is Be Fun and Productive, emphasis on the Fun part.
We secretly think he was going for a Fabio look, or as he argues – Sting. Either way, the hair was getting ridiculously long and even after meeting the goals we considered having another vote to see if we should make him keep the length just to torture him further.
It was decided that he should get it cut. If only because he was going to look like Cousin It in a few short weeks. Read the rest of this entry »
RealTruck.com’s CEO (Scott Bintz) took a trip from our chilly northern tundra to the hot and blissfully sunny desert sands of Las Vegas, Nevada for the much anticipated SEMA Show. While not open to the public, we’re happy to bring you photos and video he’s been taking while there.
Check out video sneak peaks below from these brands:

Greetings again from RealTruck. Here’s a run down of our latest happenings. Since we kind of took Day 2 of the Sema Show off to tour Zappos main head quarters, we needed to make up some time on Day 3. We were able to cover the truck & suv section, performance, restyling and a little of the tires and wheels area.
Ford Hot Wheels Truck
The Ford booth was pretty impressive. There was a lot going on, from virtual off road video games to assembling a Ford Mustang. Just about every Ford vehicle in the booth was radically customized.
A few other noteworthy stops included the Anzo booth. Anzo, a premium manufacturer of aftermarket tail lights, head lights, off road lights and various LED light products has quite the impressive booth. From radical vehicles to awesome products. All Anzo vehicle lights are DOT approved.
Along the way we stopped by the Scion booth to view the new hot rides from Scion. Wow some rockin cars. We are thinking Scion owners smile big while driving around.
Night Raider LED Display
Hats off to the Plasmaglow crew, who had an incredible display featuring several new LED light products including the new and improved hood scoop night raider LED light kit. The new night raider scanning light kit should be available on RealTruck very soon.
Camaro on its' side in Magnaflow Booth
As for performance, the Magnaflow booth was action packed as usual. This year Magnaflow Exhaust had 2 vehicles in the booth literally on their side so you could clearly see the Magnaflow exhaust kits installed on their hot cars and trucks.
Some of the other booths we visited included Iron Cross Automotive displaying their new heavy duty grille guards and bumpers, SuperSprings and their new Sumo Springs, Pit Stop Products and their new racing seat chairs, Thule featuring a Dewalt equipped work truck and the list could go on and on.
Ivan from Bak Industries
Lastly, as special thanks to Ivan from Bak Industries for the double guns pose for our camera’s. Ivan is one of the finest, kindest and coolest people you will find in our industry. It always great the see enthusiastic vendors like Bak. Bak announced the release of the all new Bak Flip F1 tonneau cover featuring an all new fiberglass reinforced finish creating another option in the Bak Flip series of tonneaus which currently includes the Bak Flip G2, Bak Flip HD, Bak Flip CS and now the all new F1 Bak Flip.
Please take a moment to check out some of the 2009 Sema Show Pictures. Featuring tons of vendor booths, hot rides and new products.
With all the talk of the economy not being the best, the 2009 Sema Show was a great success. Lots of new technology and product enhancements to be found at almost every exhibit. If you are looking to upgrade your car or pickup truck, stay tuned for all the hot product to be released in 2010. You are sure to find innovation, head turning style and increased function in all the accessory and performance categories. Thanks again for following the RealTruck crew as we walked the 2009 Sema Show.
Well, we never actually made it to the Sema Show today. We had a tour of Zappos which took up most of the day. We are heading over to the show this morning for day 3. The Zappos Tour was amazing and well worth checking out. We plan to get some more cool rides and products posted up at the end of the day.
The morning started with a good cup of coffee from Starbucks and then we headed to the tram station at the MGM. After about a 10 minute ride we arrived at the show. This year, our badges are our “Buyer” scan cards for the vendors, so it was nice not having to get into a line to get a scan card.
The truck area was located on the 2nd floor of the south hall. Our goal for the day was to visit with a number of our top vendors and then browse around the area. The mood of the show was pretty lively. On a side note, we got to see “Dunn” from Brooks N Dunn on his way to the Toyota booth for a little PR work with the Toyota “Brooks N Dunn” pickup.
I just love this orange and black RealTruck logo so much around halloween time i thought i’d post it up. It can be hard to convince the marketing team to use it too much as i tend to over do things, but i figured a little blog post wouldn’t hurt. I’m sure there is alot of “orange n black” logo’s around this time of year. Let me know if you have seen a cool one via www.twitter.com/realtruck
