Directions are easy to follow and the installation is also easy. I used "never seize"on the fastening bolts to make it easier to replace the bars if required. After about 30 min. of trying to get the bolt holes on the bars to align with the hanger (they do not) I took a hammer to the bar flange and beat the flared portion of the bar( front) in and then it fit perfect. Knowing this the second bar was "modified" and installed in 5 minutes. Powder coating needed a little touch up from improper packaging.
The last pair lasted 8 years before rusting through. RH from Durango,CO

The bars had multiple scratches and worn spots. Had to touch them up. Some of the bolts and brackets well designed and hefty, others lacking and I have no confidence in them. Bars are so close to the vehicle it is difficult to get your foot on them. I mainly wanted the bars to stand on while washing the top of my Tacoma. My toes barely fit between the bar and the truck. My wife can not use the bar to step into the truck. I am looking into shimming them away from the frame slightly. The bully emblem on the step plate area is recessed instead of raised. This allows dirt and water to remain in them. Poor design.Directions are terrible.

I bought these for my Dodge Ram 3500. Initially I thought they looked greatout of the box, until I tried to install them. Bottom line is these do not fit the 2010 Dodge Ram Heavy Duty trucks. Because of the redesigned body of the truck, they do not work. There is barely enough room to get your foot on the bar because they do not hang low enough and they do not stick out far enough. I had to use two of the original screws because the rear brackets require longer screws than are included and if you follow the instructions, they will not work. They direct using spacers on the rear brackets but they are actually required on the front and middle just to get them to work but even then the bars press against the bottom of the truck. While the appearance out of the box is great, they look too small and flimsy on my 1 ton truck plus they are really not even functional. Buy another nerf bar!
