Web Application Architect (AKA Experienced Web Developer) - Summary

RealTruck.com is seeking an experienced Web Application Architect to develop intranet/extranet applications. Applicants must be energetic, articulate, able to work independently, self-organizing and have excellent communication skills.

Specific Responsibilities

• Work with CTO and directly with resources to facilitate development
• Developing and maintaining intranet reports and applications.
• On demand SQL reports
• Using a centralized task management system to log progress, notes and provide frequent updates.
• Ability to quickly adjust to new assignments and initiatives.
• Primary development will be with PHP5 and MSSQL.

Some Tasks Include

• Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program.
• Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct.
• Consult with and assist computer operators or system analysts to define and resolve problems in running computer programs.
• Consult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes.
• Correct errors by making appropriate changes and then rechecking the program to ensure that the desired results are produced.
• Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
• Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users.
• Write, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs, such as tracking inventory, storing or retrieving data, or controlling other equipment.

Required Skills, Experience and Education

• 3+ years experience in T-SQL (MSSQL Preferred)
• 3+ years experience using PHP5
• 3+ year experience using HTML, Javascript
• 1+ years experience XSLT, AJAX, CSS
• Linux OS experience a plus.
• Network Management experience a plus.
• Ability to perform duties with minimal direction.
• Ability to work well under deadlines.
• Strong self-organizational skills.
• Excellent computer and analytical skills
• High level of initiative and driven to succeed
• Ability to work alone and also as a team player
