The directions are only one page, and have no clear descriptions. The hitch does not fit cleanly. The side brackets had to be carefully tightened to ensure you could even get the hardware in. The center mount does not accomodate the OEM skid plate, and the holes in the frame had to be drilled to get everything to line up. Good thing I have a brain, because I know most people wouldn't be able to figure out installation. I haven't had to use it yet, but it seems sturdy.
Four bolts and it's on, an exact fit for my 05 Silverado.
Perfect fit, 4 bolts & it's on.
I am very happy with this hitch. Installed it by myself in less than 1 hour. Directions were great.
Ordered the front mount hitch which arrived very quickly, well packaged and with very good instructions. My truck did not have the accessability from the front they said to use but there was a slot big enough to get the bolt through. Took a few minutes longer but all in all it was not a difficult job for even one old man to do. Now I can park my camper in its spot easily by driving it into the spot rather than backing in.
The directions weren't clear that there was two different size bolts. Also, it had been dropped in shipping and the mount holes were one inch off-center. Had to call to find out the distance between holes. It would have been nice if there was a template for cutting the front plastic, it was very time consuming. It is also 5 inches closer to the ground than than the back. Had to purchase an adapter to use it.
Installs easily to frame with bolt holding spring once you figure it out. instructions should have showed you how to use it though
Superb seller fast shipping, definitely will buy from again
Tough strong hitch. Most hitches are easy to install, but the carriage bolts and plates had to be fished through the frame. There are only very small access holes in the Cherokee uni-frame. We could not get it fished through. After taking the front bumper off, it was really easy. The hitch is strong and takes a beating from the plow.
Can be done with one person but two would be nice. Solid construction have no worries to pull from when time comes.
