Description
Curt receiver hitch class 2.5 brute series hitch ball mounts designed for the Curt brute series class 2.5 rear receiver hitches. Fits 2" x 2" receivers and has a Gross Trailer Weight of 4,000 lbs and a tongue weight of 400 lbs. They are available in a lengths of 8-1/4" and choose 2" and 4" drops. Hitch ball mounts have a EverGloss black powder coat finish. The finish on the Curt ball mounts involves an advanced in-house powder coat process in which the powder coating is baked on to the prepared surface to prevent rust and corrosion. The ball mounts are CNC formed, mechanically descaled, and robotic welded. Style 2 Ball mounts are used for vehicle and trailer is not equally level for towing. Curt Class 2.5 Brute Series Ball Mounts Specifications
The ball mount is placed inside the hitch opening which is mounted to the vehicle. Be sure to check your ball mount before towing to make sure a hitch pin is placed through the hole of the ball mount. The hitch pin secures the ball mount inside the tube of the receiver hitch when towing.
Style Type #1 Ball mount: This style of ball mount is needed when the trailer and vehicle are equally level.
Style Type #2 Ball mount: This style of ball mount is needed when your trailer and vehicle are NOT equally level.
How do I determine what size drop or rise I need for my ball mount?
To determine the size drop or rise for your style type #2 ball mount: (style type #1 is only for equal level vehicle and trailer) First level your trailer and measure from the ground up to the top ID. of receiver tube opening. Second, measure your vehicle from the ground up to the bottom of the trailer coupler. Third take the difference from both measurements and this will determine the size of drop or rise you need.

CURT Manufacturing Incorporated will examine the returned product. If the defect is covered under the warranty, CURT Manufacturing will repair the item or replace it at that time.
