I don't know why many truck owners don't have this, or even know about it. Everytime I let my tailgate down, I get stared at in amazement. Buy this product and go to HD or Lowes on the weekend when its crowded and see what happens! I'm in the mid west, it may be different else where but, I AM THE MAN! here.. Its jaw droping.

The Dee Zee EZ Down Tailgate Lowering Assist works very well with my 2009 GMC Sierra in assisting to lower the tailgate, but does not assist with raising the tailgate which would be a definite positive. The arrival time after ordering was very good and the price was also very good.

Easy to install. Works just as described. Well worth the price. Eliminates broken cables due to rapid tailgate drop. Would recommnend to anyone looking for a device like this.

Received item quickly. installation was fairly straight forward also. took about 30 min. to install once all the correct tools gathered up. works great! gives me peace of mind with my kids accidentally having that heavy tailgate falling on them!! a must for someone with small children.

Easy install, no allen key provided. Works great except the firs third of lowering is freefall then slow. All in All a great and worthwhile improvement.
