Looks and function get 5 stars.
Method of installation gets only 2 stars.
DeeZee's reliance on crimp nuts to attach the brackets needs to be rethought or redesigned. The supplied ones are VERY difficult to crimp down properly. I have a touch of arthritis in my right arm and getting the crimp sufficient to hold is the most difficult part of the install. I managed to ruin one of them when my wrench slipped and to DeeZee's credit they sent my a new hardware pack with no questions.
Also I'd recommend adding some washers under the bolts attaching the bars to the brackets. The heads on the supplied bolts are just small enough that they nearly slip through the slots on the brackets.

Totally dissapointed. Blemishes on the bars, not all pieces there ie: nuts and bolts. Great customer service by RealTrucks, they replaced them without any cost to me and suggested a different set that was better than the first. With this kind of service I will definately buy from them again. Don't think I will ever buy a DEEZEE product again.

Nice looking Steps overall; however the method in which they are installed leaves much to be desired. The Riv-Nuts are not very secure and can easily be over-tightened during installation. The steps wobble on the truck. I'd prefer them to be mounted to the frame instead of the underside of the body.

great product only a couple little tings..... missing 12 bolts, and 8 threaded u-clips. its easier to just got to your local auto parts store and get the things you may have been shorted

This purchase was a disaster! DeeZee's distribution center delivered a used damaged set of bars that where missing pieces and showed obvious signs of wear and use. The package had a covered over shipping lable showing it was a return from Autozone and another covered shipping lable to another address. The set of bars had been sold a couple times at least and never inspected upon return to the warehouse. And no, it was not advertised as a used set or discounted as used. The only reason I gave a 1 star rating is that zero stars is not an option in the review.
The only bright spot of this whole matter was the outstanding way Realtruck stepped up, addressed the problem with DeeZee and then fixed the problem quickly and with no additional grief for me when I requested a different brand as replacement for the first. For their customer service and support Realtruck gets a 5 star rating.

Almost went with another set and I am so glad I didn't. They look fantastic, installation wasn't too bad. (Extra pair of hands would make it go quicker) Overall I am very pleased with the way they look on my truck. Sturdy and sharp, GREAT BUY!!!

Did not include enough bolts with the kit for 97-03 F-150 models. Need an additional 8 bolts to do the job. And they are metric.

They look great and are solid. Easy installation. I gave them 3 starts because the nut / bolt package was missing. When I contacted DeeZee, they did send the bolt package out. It took 1 week and then they sent the wrong package. I was short 4 bolts. Should have been 28, I only got 24. Very frustrating. Rather than waiting for DeeZee again, I bought 4 bolts at the local hardware store.
Needless to say, I was not impressed with DeeZee's Customer Service.

Again, happy I bought the product. The only problem I had was with the mounting brackets. Apparently my truck was built in Mexico so there was a variation in the bracket. Dee Zee rectified the problem sending out new brackets. Other than the delay, very happy.
