(Somers, CT) on 09/2008 The EZ Down is a great addition to my truck.It really prevents the tailgate from slamming down and possibly hitting you.However it gets a little tight around the installation area and you have to give the tailgate alittle more push to close.This concerns me as far as wear & tear of the gate cable.

The cable protector could use some reworking, kind of a cheap fix. The shipping package was poorly packed no protection for the assist kit. The first one I received was damaged from poor packing, this one was packed the same, but survived.
