The Dual Liner story begins with a young man in Idaho. Having used several different bedliners, he knew there had to be something that would perform three basic tasks: Look good for an extended period of time, keep his cargo in place, and protect his truck bed from dents. Not one of the bedliners on the market could stand up to these simple jobs. So he started a quest to develop his own "better mousetrap". Plastic drop-ins provided the dent protection, but fell way short on skid resistance. A rubber bed mat was great for skid resistance and dent protection, but left the sidewalls un-protected. Spray-ins offered little skid resistance and no dent protection, but they looked good - short-term. By engineering a polyethylene sidewall to fit like a second layer of steel, he gained the looks of the spray-in with the durability of the hard plastic drop-in. With a mat as a floor, the high traction and dent resistance were there. An interlocking channel between the two keeps everything in place and completely quiet. There were a couple of side effects - the bedliner could be put into a carton and shipped anywhere in the country and because of the modular design it doesn't block the factory drain holes. And so, Dual Liner was born - out of need for a truly functional Bedliner.
