Testing Procedure
The Mileage Max was developed and tested by Edge’s engineers using a Mustang dynamometer to duplicate typical driving conditions. Both input and return fuel lines from the test truck were run into a separate tank containing a known quantity of fuel placed on an extremely accurate digital scale. With the truck fully warmed, the truck’s cruise control was set to 70 MPH in overdrive and a constant load applied to simulate highway loads. The weight of the consumed fuel was then subtracted from the original weight and converted into MPG.
Repeated test results showed the Mileage Max consistently delivered up to a 7% improvement in fuel economy (depending on year and model of the vehicle) and up to 35 extra horsepower. In order to ensure accuracy, several tests were performed and an average made with and without the Mileage Max using the same conditions on the same dyno.

Looking for increasing fuel economy on my 04 Ram 2500 5.9L Cummins TD-610 Series, I came across Edge's Mileage Max. Upon my mechanic's recommendation, I installed one. It is very simple to install. It took me only 10 minutes. I noticed a slight increase in power. Not much, but enough it does not shift back at all when towing on slight inclines on the interstate and highway. The fuel economy is not as significant as I expected. I am getting 20mph commuting without load 76 miles round trip (highway 64 and city 12 miles city). Towing my 9,000 lbs trailer I'm averaging 16 mph. This is measured by dividing the odometer read by the fuel filled each time. Don't go by the board computer, they are made for making you feel good. Mine averages at 23.2 mph since I installed the Mileage Max (12,000 miles ago). previously 20.8 and 18.6 using the math method at the pump. Overall very easy and quick to install and it'll pay for itself, but don't expect wonders.

A great buy, did see a noticeable gain in mpg's. the added torque made towing my travel trailer easier. for those who are afraid of a big chip this is a great investment, will pay for it self without the danger of over loading your drive train.

Easy to install not to mention the noticeable power increase. 3-4 miles more per gallon and actually more if cruise control set at 65 mph. The awesome part about it all is your customer service and fast delivery. Thank you!

Kick A** This chip took about 7 min or so to install. Get a pair of pliers to remove the default wiring harness then attach this. I secured the chip atop the fuse box. This does make a mild amount of smoke when you put your foot down. This product gave me about 1.47 MPG hand calculated. THat also includes mashing the pedal every now and then. The non favorable part of this at speeds lower than 60 MPH you can feel how it affects the cruise control; it will drop the speed every now and then and cost until you reach the peak point of fuel efficency, I would somewhat worry about the tranny when the cruise control is used in non overdrive.
