After having this product on my 04 Dodge 3500 diesel I knew that it was a good investment. Now not only does it help motor warm faster but als helps to hold the heat in from the water heater I had installed. The only problem that arises after a couple years of use is the stick on snaps want to not stay stuck on. save yourself time and money order either more stick on or the screw ons. Still a Great Product.
I purchased the Fia Grill Cover Combo Winter Front & Bug Screen for my Jeep YJ (1993) and it does absolutely everything that it advertised. It limits the amount of air that passes through my radiator core making the cooling system run a little warmer and due to the fact that my Jeep is the coldest vehicle in these United States every little bit helps. I haven't used the bug screen as yet so I can't speak to taht aspect. The reason I rated 4 out of five stars I didn't like the way the manufacturer suggested attaching the Grill Cover so I used pop Rivets and they really worked great! And yes I will continue to shop RealTruck for my aftermarket purchases.
I recently completed a 2800 mile trip with the bug screen in place and have to comment that virtually every bug that hit the screen at highway speeds stayed where they belonged, on the outside of the engine compartment. With the approach of Fall and Winter weather, I feel confident that I will have a warmer running engine and passenger compartment with the vinyl grill cover in place.
Fit perfect. Easy to install, only took about ten minutes. Looks good. I'm very happy with this product. Keeps my temp up on those extra cold mornings and keeps the bugs out of my new 3 row radiatior. Five Stars all the way.
I love this cover it warms my truck up faster in the - temp only thing is if have outside temp gage the temp gage will be wrong it will be ten to fifteen more then outside temp but not a big deal just watch ur temp gage for over heating witch has been great
the snaps could be better quality but ok to install, just drilled them and put pop rivets in them so they will hold. Pattern from the cover to the bug screen don't match real well but close enough to stretch to make it work
I like it except for. The cheap snaps
I followed the directions to the letter, and waited 4 days to put the cover on and in 3hours and 4 of the snaps came off now I cannot us the product.
How can I fix this?
Put it on in a heated garage using instructions. Working great in this exceptionally cold winter. Diesel truck gets nice and warm when the needle used to never move from the "cold" position from November until March.
