Purchased this unit so I could tow a trailer and had purchased this unit in the past for other make trucks I own and trusted this would work on my current truck.

Received a unit that had been reurned & with Bolts stripped and The Lower brackets that would not fit my Truck.

I called Real Truck and explained the issue I was referred to Fire Stone the engineers @ FS could not explain why with all the pictured I sent after 2 hours of work on my end trying install this unit.

They asked I return the bottom brackets to them marked where holes for this bracket needed to be drilled to installed and they would drill the holes to fit my 2005 Ford XLT F150 truck.

I did not have time to do this due to the tow project I had planned. I had also purchased the Air Compressor Unit for this system which I could not use due to this unit not fitting my truck.

I am still in the process of trying to return Both Helper Spring Unit & Compressor unit with no luck. It's been over a week since I received a email saying they would send me a RMA # to return this defective unit.

I have been put on hold many times for over a half hour and then told they would call me back and have yet to receive a call back.

I had to go to my credit card company to dispute the charge on my credit card to try to get this resolved.

I am hoping Real Truck makes this right and gives me a RMA#! & Refund.

I will not buy another item from Real Truck in the future due to the issues I am having with them on the return of this unit.

I will update my review once I receive a RMA# & Refund for these items.

It was not a good purchase at all by no means and can not understand why they can not get this resolved.

I am not very happy at all.

I had to purchase another Air Helper Spring System that fit fine from a different Company to do this tow project & it was not a (FS Unit) I purchased for my truck on the second go around.

Very unhappy please consider this when purchaseing this unit for a 2005 Ford XLT F150 Truck my unit would not fit and was not a bolt on no drill install as stated in the advertising.

Nice product. Installation instructions need to provide guidance/technique on how to position back plates when placing nut back plates inside the frame. I needed to bend the tabs 90 degrees for alignment.

Hey, Quick Delivery, and a Perfect Fit.
On my 2004 Ford 250 Power Stroke Diesel, with HD suspension. A perfect fit. No drilling needed... just ability to read, maybe read a couple of times.
Instruction were good. Bolt holes in Frame were Exact.
I put my 3,000 Lb slide in camper on board, pumped the air up to 75 lbs per instruction, and wah...lah... the load was level and stable.

Improvment. Wish the pressure guage, and pump were not so expensive. But there is a good 120 volt system on the market that pumps my helper air system up in seconds. very pleased

I really like the compressor system after installed. The installation was a bit difficult especially under the dash area. The compressor itself was easliy intalled under the hood on the driver side fender well. The wiring harness was easly roued from the battery on the right side through the housing protecting the windshield washer tubing over to the compressor on the left side. The wiring is already fuse protected with easy to mount relay. The air tubing was routed down the fender wheel through a 9/16" hole in firewall to control panel.

The Firestone Air Helper System fit my 2008 F-150 as advertised. After laying out and preassembling the air bag and adapter plates, the installation time was about four hours. I routed the inflators out the rear mounting them in the plastic next to the license plate. If you are towing trailers I would highly recommend the helper spring system. I tow a 27.5 foot fifth wheel RV. This system allows level, safe and smooth towing.
