Description

Most Stock Vehicle suspensions are a compromise.. ride comfort vs. maximum hauling or towing capability. Lighter vehicles handle poorly when loaded and heavier vehicles provide a rough ride when unloaded. Firestone Air-Rite Spring Suspension Systems eliminate the compromise. Firestone Air-Rite Springs can be adjusted with air pressure to compensate for varying loads and road conditions, while providing a more comfortable ride. Firestone Air-Rite Spring Systems are the highest quality available. Every system is designed and specifically for each application to maximize safe load carrying capacity, stability and ride quality of the vehicle. Firestone Air-Rite Spring Systems include two air springs, all necessary installation hardware and fittings for manual air pressure adjustment along with detailed installations instructions. For added convenience, Firestone offers a variety of Air Accessory Systems. These kits provide fingertip adjustment of air pressure from within the passenger area of the vehicle.

5/5 for FRS-WR1-760-2178 - FireStone Air Helper Spring System Compressor
Posted By:John B. (Saucier, MS) on 07/2009
I really like the compressor system after installed. The installation was a bit difficult especially under the dash area. The compressor itself was easliy intalled under the hood on the driver side fender well. The wiring harness was easly roued from the battery on the right side through the housing protecting the windshield washer tubing over to the compressor on the left side. The wiring is already fuse protected with easy to mount relay. The air tubing was routed down the fender wheel through a 9/16" hole in firewall to control panel.

The Firestone Air Helper System fit my 2008 F-150 as advertised. After laying out and preassembling the air bag and adapter plates, the installation time was about four hours. I routed the inflators out the rear mounting them in the plastic next to the license plate. If you are towing trailers I would highly recommend the helper spring system. I tow a 27.5 foot fifth wheel RV. This system allows level, safe and smooth towing.
