As advertised, easy to use and convenient to anything you may have stored in your bed. It is very secure. I did not attempt to install the bed, instead I used the good folks at Leonard Buildings to install it for me, cost about $65.00. Well worth it, because that knew what they were doing.
I have not had any problems, as stated it is not 100% water-proof, I took it through the car wash and some water did get through, however, when it rains there has been no leakage.My gas mileage has increased tremendously.People have commented on how stylish it looks and some people think I bought a new truck.

I put the cover on by myself.The only real trouble I had was with my bed liner.In order for the locking mechanism to work properly I had to cut small sections out of the liner so it could latch under the bed rail.This took several tries to get the proper depth correct.After it was all said and done,it looks great,it's water proof,and the locks work perfectly..My Dakota is 1998 ext. cab...Total time:Aprox.3 hours,with cutting...

First cover was delivered in 5 days but was damaged. Called customer service and new cover went out that day. Picked up old cover when new one was delivered. outstanding service!!!!!!!!!

Product arrive sooner than expected. Self installation took 8 hrs. One tricky part was the last seal next to the cab. You have to allow for a little extra space and you have to glue the seal on the back part of the metal edge not the front edge. I was able to adjust the model I bought back so the seal didn't contact the rubber seal on the back window. Recommend you have 2 people when you center the wind rails or the support rails.

Dealing with RealTruck …was and continues to be GREAT! The operators are helpful, friendly …and do what they say. I have a Ford F150 step-side (flare side) and had trouble finding/researching the correct tonneau cover. Called RealTruck and the operator said "no problem", I gave her my e-mail address and she sent me a number of different choices within a few minutes …awesome, could not believe it. I chose the Fold-A-Cover LS Series Hard Folding Truck Bed Tonneau Cover and love it. Received the order in a few days just as promised. I am sure glad I did not attempt to install it because it took a professional 3 hours to do it …which was the best $87.50 I ever spent.

If you are looking for a cover that seals and will not permit water to enter your bed, then this is not the cover you want. It fits nicely, and I like it, but if sealing is important, then pass. In fact there are 2 places on the tailgate that do not have ANY seals at all....you will need to improvise in these areas.
Also, as you can tell from the pics/video the major pivot point is one section behind the cab. With a little bit more of a design effort they could provide a quick release so that the entire cover could be removed. As it is now, you will need tools and a good deal of time to remove the cover completely.
Let's talk about the instructions...my biggest problem with this product.
1. There are 6 pages of actual instructions. 2.3 pages are dedicated to installation of one tailgate piece...this is the simplest thing you will do during the installation. The other 3.7 pages are for the difficult parts.
2. One of the things it asks you to do is to apply Loctite (which they spell as "Lock Tight" in their tools list). OK..let's see a show of hands of how many of you have Loctite in your house? That's what I thought. And of those that raised your hands, how many of you have the CORRECT Loctite? Also what I thought. You see, there are probably 300 types of Loctite products...some when applied would do nothing and some would require you to use a cutting torch to remove the hardware. They do not specify what should be used. And it really annoys me that they do not supply a 10 cent squeeze tube with their product. Cheap....really cheap of them.
3. One whole picture is dedicated on how to unsnap a strap. I think I know how snaps work.
4. Some pictures are meaningless (if you're following along, it's the 2 right before the rail install).
5. They state "Temperature should be no lower than 50 degrees when installing". I don't think that has anything to do with the cover, they are concerned with your well being knowing how long you will be outside screwing with the installation.
6. Some parts are cheap aluminum extrusions hacked (yes I mean hacked) into pieces. Aluminum will oxidize and be very difficult to uninstall...so I'm not sure what you need the Loctite for anyway. Stainless would be the material of choice.
The point is that the instructions suck...and I mean really suck. I'm an engineer and I have written many, many instructions so I know what I'm talking about.
Be prepared to do many of the steps twice...there will be many times when you will say "Ah...so that's how you do it". Then you will have to remove what you just did and proceed with your "Aha" revelation. They could save the installer much time if they would provide additional, important information in their procedure.

I researched every available cover for my truck and decided I wanted a hardcover that could lock and fold up to the front for larger loads. There aren't as many for a stepside ranger.
Since it was a hardcover, I also wanted to be able to get at bins I keep right behind my cab without having to fold the cover all the way up. This cover is what I wanted and so far I really like it. You can get at things in the front or back without folding it all the way up and both the front panel and back panel latch and lock.
It arrived within a couple of days after ordering it. Unlike one other comment, I didn't have problems aligning the cover and it went on fairly easy. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because I (nor anyone else who tried) could not get the stainless steel pop rivets to snap. they are about the biggest diameter made and we tried a couple of different rivet guns. I have a good multihead professional pop rivet gun with an adjustable angle head and we could not get the rivets to pop. Maybe if you have a air powered rivet gun it would work. I finally gave up and used stainless steel self tapping screws which worked great and so far are staying tight.
The cover rides nice and looks great. I really like that I didn't have to change or cut my factory bed liner or the pads on the top of the bed. the side rails use the factory holes on the top of the fenders with longer screws and it matches the top pads great. I haven't been in the rain yet, but it has gaskets all the way around and the hinges are gasketed so I don't think it would leak much if at all.
The only other thing I would add is some way to pull up on the middle panels when you're folding it to the front. The best way I found so far is to reach under and push up on the middle hinge to start the fold up. The quality seems to be real good and it looks like it came with the truck. So far I'm really pleased with the cover and would recommend it.

I would suggest a modification to allow easy removal of the entire folding cover (not the rails) for the few occasions you might want to carry large (high) loads. Right now yoy would have to undue 4 screws.
In all other respects this is an excellent poduct and the installation instructions are easyto follow.
