The Hard Hat Premier Tonneau Cover has a hard panel tri fold construction. The ABS plastic is molded to include hard top and all framing and cross bars in a one piece design. More impressive is the fact that the Hard Hat Premier bed cover weighs as little as 45 lbs. This is a cover that stands by the statement '1 person installation or removal in a matter of minutes!' The one piece design folds up for compact storage and allows everything to be removed in one simple step.
Installation is a simple cam clamp method. No drilling or using pre-drilled holes on your truck box. The patented locking cam type clamps mean no tools and you'll be opening your box, installing your lightweight tonneau and on the road in less than ½ hour.
Worried about that fancy top? The black dyed convertible material is extremely durable and weather resistant to ensure it will never crack. The rigid plastic top underneath of the Hard Hat Premier truck bed cover gives it a hard rigid structure that is attached to the tonneau frame. Have had mine for 2 months now and mostly satisfied, I think the permier model with the hi-quality fabric is worth the extra cost. I like the looks of it over most other makee and appears to be good solid quality. Only problem I've had is that it tends to shift it bit after awhile, although I thik I just need to adjust the clamps a little but I haven't figure out how yet.

It is everything it is promised to be - lightweight, easy to install and looks great. One small complaint, the fabric cover flaps against the plastic in a heavy crosswind and is a little noisy. Hardly noticeable in my 2010 F150 but other drivers may find it annoying. All in all the best tonneau cover I have ever bought.

A good cover that is probably 98% water tight. I only see a few drops when I go through a car wash. I'd give it three stars if not for that. Flaps a little above 70 mph and you should know that the "rigid substrate" is a pressboard like material similar to what you'd use as pegboard in a garage but not the aluminum suggested by some reviews online. Overall, a reasonable buy though I'd consider the extang solidfold if I had to do it again. Also, check with realtruck about shipping before you buy. It took them more than 10 days to ship it and almost two weeks for me to get it.

I received the wrong size (too wide)the first time due to what I believe was a manufactures or Real Truck error. However, Real truck has stood behind their service promise and I should be receiving the proper replacement within the next day or so.
I know that these things can happen so while dissapointed I am not surprised. Ask me again after I receive the replacement.

Nice cover overall. During installation found the holes on the right hand side of the new bed rail did not line up exactly with the existing truck bed bolts. Had to file down the front edge of the new rail for holes to align. One of the T30 bolts provided easily stripped during installation and had to buy another.
Instructions were not clear on a few points but installation was fairly simple. Cover prevents the trunk lid from fully opening. Still leaves you plenty of room but there should have been a mention of this up front.
Service from Realtruck was great.
