Available Exhaust Systems
Deep-Tone Dual System –
Split rear design that is aggressive sounding under acceleration but is moderate at cruising speeds.
4” Diesel System –
Unless noted, 4” single & dual kits include a 4” downpipe. 4” dual kits go from the 4” downpipe to 5” into a single in/dual out muffler. 409 stainless steel kits are magnetic and will be brownish in color. All diesel kits will generate a moderate sounding exhaust note.
5” Diesel System –
These kits include a 4” downpipe and are recommended for use on trucks that have modifications to create higher horsepower such as a chip, programmer, or intake.
Dual Cat-Back Truck System –
Split rear design and most kits are available with an HVS muffler for a deeper, more aggressive sounding exhaust.
Single Cat-Back Truck System –
These kits have a factory style exit behind the rear passenger tire. These are the quietest performance systems offered by Heartthrob.
Cat-Back Performance Car System –
Most performance car kits now have the HVS muffler available and some kits now have the option of Heartthrob’s Flowpack race mufflers for an even more aggressive sound.
Exhaust System Types
- Cat Back Exhaust - Replaces the system from the catalytic converter to the rear bumper
- Axle Back Exhaust - Replaces the system from the rear axle to the rear bumper
- Header Back Exhaust - Replaces the system from the headers to the rear bumper
- Turbo Back Exhaust - Replaces the system from the turbo to the rear bumper (diesel applications only)
- Downpipe Back Exhaust - Replaces the system from the turbo downpipe to the rear bumper (diesel applications only)
- DPF Back Exhaust - Replaces the system from the diesel particulate filter to the rear bumper (diesel applications only)

For most cars and trucks there are several different styles and sizes available to choose from. With exhaust sizes ranging from 2.25 inches up to 5 inches, you are sure to find an exhaust kit that will get you the results you're looking for!
In addition to mandrel bent tubing, Heartthrob exhausts are available in either aluminized or 409 stainless steel with a variety of different mufflers in single or dual exit. Almost all of Heartthrob's kits give you a choice of glass pack, HVS, or the standard turbo muffler.

|Sounds and looks great! Took away power and fuel mileage by 3MPG. Mostly evident when towing my 25 ft weekend warrior super light. Dropped towing mpg from 10 to 7! Stock exhaust climbs any grade in 3rd gear at whatever speed I want. This exhaust drops sweet spot and puts me at 35-45 mph in 2nd gear with temp climbing. I put stock back on. I refuse to program and lose warranty, though I've heard it's the fix. I dont know where they got the gains claimed on the you tube video! Just want to warn everybody cause it does the opposite of what they claim!|
|The install was easy and the sound is great. It was a bit louder than I expected but was easy to get used to. No drone sound and I can really hear the turbos spool up.|
|Great system, came with everything needed, easy install. A Lil louder than expected but it does sound mean. Had to cut off 3 inches of the tailpipe as it protruded past the rear bumper. Other than that....great product!|

|I installed this kit on a 2011 F150 with the 3.5L Ecoboost. Heartthrob did a great job of adding quick, easy power and decent sound at a lower price than competitors with a similar product. The fact is, this is still a lot of money for an exhaust. I wouldn't buy this kit only for the sound because even though it doesn't sound bad, and I think Heartthrob did a decent job with the design, you're truck will still not sound as good as a V-8 with a dual exhaust kit of 3/4 the cost. However, it does provide a definite power gain.|

|My Expedition sounds great now. Installation was simple. Everything bolted right to the factory brackets. I am very pleased with my exhaust system. The kit for my truck didn't come with a new tip so I couldn't rate appearance 5 stars.|
|Fit was very good. Sound good. Look good. Installation took longer than expected. Pipes fit together loose. Tightening up with clamps didn't work real well. Pipes need to be welded together.|
|This was installed on a 1997 Dodge with a 5.9 V8. Installation was exactly as described and straight forward. All provided hardware fit as described. Cannot comment on performance as it would be too subjective, however the butt dyno senses a slight increase in the mid range. MPG seems to have increased as well but too soon to tell if that is true.|
