Hidden hitch offers a variety of receiver hitch adapters. You can convert a 2" receiver hitch to a 1-1/4" hitch. Or convert a 1-1/4" receiver hitch to a 2" hitch. Plus 2" receiver hitch extensions also available. All hidden hitch receiver hitch adapters feature E-coated black powder coat finish and a 3,500lb GTW rating.  Exactly as I hoped it would be. I purchased the product to extend my bike rack beyond the spare tire of my Jeep Wrangler and it works great. Once I had everything bolted together the rack was a little wobbly but with the help of some composite shims from Lowe's everything is tight and is working beautifully. Haven't towed anything with it yet but I'm sure it will work well with that application as well.
