For temporary use it work very well,I like it very much.Any time I buy some wood or long item , it got easy to get home with my nissan altima,I personally don't want parmanent rack on my altima.So this is perfect solution for me.

I found it to be garbage and do not trust it for my uses, but you may find it useful... u get what u pay for. I also bought a Pro Rack and Im very happy with it.

Ordered it and received within a week. Right on time for a week away in Quebec snowboarding. Strapped 2 boards onto it with some rope and bungee cables and they stayed solid on the rack for the trip there and back. Way more economical than renting/buying a rack from a local dealer.

Out of the box the straps hold fairly tight if you route them properly through the mounts as the directions state. Don't know how they will hold up over time, however, replacing them with others off the shelf from hardware store shouldn't be too expensive. Overall I would say they will hold the racks down with light loads at slow to moderate speed but if your looking to carry anything heavy, forget it! I'm carrying an inflated raft with mine and they seem to work fine as long as I don't go to fast.

This rack works great. It is very simple to use and can be put on and removed in 2 min. I carry a windsurfing board which weighs 100 lbs. The rack is very secure and can easily handle this weight. I would strongly recommend this rack to anyone.
