I installed the Iron Cross HD Steps on my 2012 2500HD in three hours working by myself. In my opinion, the quality, appearance, and ease of installation is a 5 out of 5. However, I give them a 4 out of 5 because I would prefer a deeper step for safety purposes when the treads become covered with snow and ice.

iTEM WAS AS DESCRIBED,WELL BUILT.THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THE BRACKET KIT THAT WAS SENT WITH STEPS WERE NOT FOR THE STEPS SENT,NOT A GOOD THING.

I love this product but am in the process of returning it. It does not work for the Dodge Ram truck because of the way the vehicle curves inward where this product mounts. Iron Cross needs to develope maybe a 3 inch spacer so that you can step on the foot area otherwise this product is useless but it looks nice.

The steps did not have all necessary hardware for mounting. Even after mounting one side I realized that the front to back gap was not even and was unsitely on a F-150. It mite look better on another vehicle.

Running boards are awesome, very sturdy. I've already had several compliments and they allow my little girls to climb in the truck on their own.
One bad point though. I open box and pull out instructions and go through all the parts list to verify they are there. And per the list they are. So I install the brackets to the truck and go to install the boards. But I don't have any bolts for the compression fitting. They are shown in the pictures but not on list. Needless to say I got to run to the hardware store one day at lunch to buy 6 more 5/16" bolts. So plan to buy $3 bucks worth of bolts.
Also I went with grade 8 bolts, the brackets have 4 bolts holding bracket to truck and one bolt holding board to each bracket.

I have owned many trucks over the years. All HD and needing side steps. Without a doubt these Iron Cross HD steps are by far the best fitting and useable truck steps ever purchased. Well worth the money. The design and construction are second to none. Very easy install. Great Job Iron Cross.
