Description

The Mitsubishi Raider and Dodge Dakota has aggressive styling and is the brand’s only pickup truck. But under the Raider’s eye-catching fenders is essentially a midsize Dodge Dakota pickup. Both have good towing capacity and handle well on the road.

K&N Engineering designed a performance air intake system (63-1558) to add power to the V6 engines on the 2007 Dodge Dakota 3.7 liter engine, the 2008 Dodge Dakota 3.7 liter engine, the 2007 Mitsubishi Raider 3.7 liter engine and the 2008 Mitsubishi Raider 3.7 liter engine.

Dynamometer tests show a 9.22 horsepower gain at 4200 RPM. K&N engineers were able to get this additional power because the original factory airbox and original air filter were restrictive. K&N air intake systems are designed to reduce intake restriction and at the same time, smooth and straighten airflow while providing excellent filtration. This means you will see an immediate power gain along with engine protection. The 63-1558 uses a conical shaped chrome top high-flow air filter and a powder coated heat shield in place of the vehicle’s stock airbox. The heat shield isolates the K&N air filter from engine heat and keeps cooler air going into the engine. The washable and reusable K&N air filter pushes more air into the engine and can perform for up to 100,000 miles before service is required.
