Description

K2 snow plows are built with a level of quality worthy of plows twice their price. Sharply designed and manufactured using high quality steel, they're made to clear your driveway in a fraction of the time it would take with a shovel or snow blower.

Whether you choose the 82" Rampage, 84" Storm, or 88" Summit, these plows are all ready for anything that might come your way in the wintertime. They're highly capable of pushing large amounts of snow easily and efficiently without rusting or corroding, and are more than tough enough to take abuse without easily denting or dinging as well.

Mounting your snow plow from K2 is also easy to do using a Class 3 2" receiver hitch. It's made to fit most light trucks or SUVs, and it can be mounted to either the front or rear of your vehicle. It comes with an in-cab winch control as well, so you can raise or lower the plow without having to get out from behind the wheel to do so.

Don't get stuck snowed inside this winter without a K2 personal snow plow. It's a sound investment you're sure to enjoy for years. These plows ship for free within the 48 contiguous states and are backed by a one year manufacturer warranty.

I bought this plow as a gift to myself after plowing for years with a garden tractor. Being out of the weather while plowing is such a treat. I especially like that all the bolts were preseated eliminating the need to find the right bolt during assembly. The kit went together well. The online video was much appreciated. And the plow came just in time to use on the fith largest snowfall in chicago's history. The plow worked well on heavy wet snow and cut through two foot drifts of light snow with ease. My biggest challenge was the electrical wiring and finding space in the engine compartment to place the two small boxes. I had to buy additional wire to make the connections.im loving this plow.

Used it twice so far, first time was an 8 inch snow, second time we had 6 inches. The swivel caster on the back of the plow (allows you to line up the plow to the hitch) lasted about 10 minutes. It is mounted on a height adjustable rod. Once the plow is hooked up, you raise the caster and pin it in place. Even with the caster raised all the way up, I managed to run the caster into the ground and break it off. The company replaced the caster and suggested that it be removed when plowing snow. On my truck (2005 Ford 150 4x4) there is not enough ground clearance to remove the caster once the plow is hooked up. I'll probably modify the caster mounting rod or just remove the swivel caster assembly (you can hook the plow up without the swivel caster, but the caster makes hooking up the plow easier). The plow works well and easily handled the 8 inch snow.

Plow went together easily. Seems to be built very well. Couple of small items I changed to make easier for me, but overall very pleased with unit. Highly recommend. Very easy to hook up to truck, just line up hitch, install pin, plug cable together and move snow like a champ. Great item.

It took a month to deliver the plow.

Delivery co. was very accommodating.

It took 2 guys approx. 2 hrs. to put together and install unit.

Had to install electric fan for overheating, on a S-10- 1997 Blazer.

Impressed with the free shipping, cost of unit, and quality

of product, free wireless remote.

Have not used in snow yet.

No complaints.

Spoke to the manufacturer, they are very willing to satisfy,

if problems arise.

This product is easy to install in a front mounted 2" receiver hitch as long as you are on a hard surface. With the single point mount attachment point, the product is (or should be) limited to light duty applications. A 6-8 inch snow should be no problem as long as you take your time. My driveway is not paved but, as long as I am careful with the height of the blade, I have not had a problem.
Good Product, Has Some Drawbacks However...

The plow is fairly well made, the packaging is not as good as it should be for such a heavy item. I looked over the item when it was delivered for any missing parts or damage, and everything seemed to be there and intact. During assembly I noticed there were several nuts/bolts missing (which unless I made the drive wait until I unpacked all the pieces and counted everything, nobody could have noticed). After it was assembled, it was quite a bit longer than I expected (it sticks out about 4'-5' from the front of my truck) which makes maneuvering difficult, especially in/out of driveways. I thought I would be OK with having to manually adjusting the angle, but as it turns out, this is quite a hassle. Honestly, compared to similar plows that are in this price range, this is DEFINITELY the best "bang for your buck". Any plow that I have seen for a small truck will have the same downsides as this one, depth, lack of hydraulic angling, etc. In order to have those features, you are looking at another $1,000-$4,000, and on the higher end, you will need a F250, Ram 1500, or larger pickup... Honestly, if I had the decision to make again, I would buy a bigger truck, and a better plow...

Overall very satisfied. I use the Rampage on a stock 1998 Jeep Wrangler (4 cyl). I have about 600' worth of driveway between the road, the house, and the barn, as well as a circle-drive. This plow does what I need. Don't be turned off that the blade isn't one piece. It is a solid piece of equipment.

Delivery – very fast; I ordered on a Sunday evening, and received a phone call on Wednesday to arrange delivery. Unfortunately, they wanted to deliver with a semi, and there was no way that would make it up my rural driveway. I chose to pick it up from the distribution center about 20 minutes away (Detroit area).

Packaging – not so great. The plow was delivered in a cardboard box. A sturdy box, but still cardboard. Unfortunately the bottom was punctured during shipping. Several of the fasteners were loose in the box, and I ended up one nut and two washers short. I just picked these up at the local hardware store rather than returning the plow or contacting RealTruck.

Loading – since the plow comes unassembled, it was not an issue to load the pieces into my SUV. While the whole thing may weigh 265lbs, the pieces weigh no more than 40-50lbs each, at the most. No 'curbside' delivery is needed.

Assembly – straightforward, instructions very clear. I put it together in one evening. Electrical also very straightforward. No issues during assembly.

Use – we got a lot of snow this winter, and even though I purchased this in late January, I have used it several times. It works very well with the 4-6 inches I've plowed each time. Handles drifts as well.

Any negatives?

- the corded control is symmetrical, so you cannot tell by feel which way toggling the rocker switch will raise or lower the blade. For me, this means not putting the control down during plowing. I have a manual transmission, so this is awkward, but manageable.

- with as much snow as we had this year, I should have chosen the next plow size up. Not for the width, but for the added blade height. The snow piled too high on the sides of the drive for the plow to 'curl' the snow over it anymore. The extra 3" from the 19" to 22" height would be an advantage.

- already broke one of the markers; I wish individual replacements were available
