Description

K2 snow plows are built with a level of quality worthy of plows twice their price. Sharply designed and manufactured using high quality steel, they're made to clear your driveway in a fraction of the time it would take with a shovel or snow blower.

Whether you choose the 82" Rampage, 84" Storm, or 88" Summit, these plows are all ready for anything that might come your way in the wintertime. They're highly capable of pushing large amounts of snow easily and efficiently without rusting or corroding, and are more than tough enough to take abuse without easily denting or dinging as well.

Mounting your snow plow from K2 is also easy to do using a Class 3 2" receiver hitch. It's made to fit most light trucks or SUVs, and it can be mounted to either the front or rear of your vehicle. It comes with an in-cab winch control as well, so you can raise or lower the plow without having to get out from behind the wheel to do so.

Don't get stuck snowed inside this winter without a K2 personal snow plow. It's a sound investment you're sure to enjoy for years. These plows ship for free within the 48 contiguous states and are backed by a one year manufacturer warranty.

Easy to use for light duty applications

This product is easy to install in a front mounted 2" receiver hitch as long as you are on a hard surface. With the single point mount attachment point, the product is (or should be) limited to light duty applications. A 6-8 inch snow should be no problem as long as you take your time. My driveway is not paved but, as long as I am careful with the height of the blade, I have not had a problem.
Good Product, Has Some Drawbacks However...

The plow is fairly well made, the packaging is not as good as it should be for such a heavy item. I looked over the item when it was delivered for any missing parts or damage, and everything seemed to be there and intact. During assembly I noticed there were several nuts/bolts missing (which unless I made the drive wait until I unpacked all the pieces and counted everything, nobody could have noticed). After it was assembled, it was quite a bit longer than I expected (it sticks out about 4'-5' from the front of my truck) which makes maneuvering difficult, especially in/out of driveways. I thought I would be OK with having to manually adjusting the angle, but as it turns out, this is quite a hassle. Honestly, compared to similar plows that are in this price range, this is DEFINITELY the best "bang for your buck". Any plow that I have seen for a small truck will have the same downsides as this one, depth, lack of hydraulic angling, etc. In order to have those features, you are looking at another $1,000-$4,000, and on the higher end, you will need a F250, Ram 1500, or larger pickup... Honestly, if I had the decision to make again, I would buy a bigger truck, and a better plow...

Overall very satisfied. I use the Rampage on a stock 1998 Jeep Wrangler (4 cyl). I have about 600' worth of driveway between the road, the house, and the barn, as well as a circle-drive. This plow does what I need. Don't be turned off that the blade isn't one piece. It is a solid piece of equipment.

Delivery – very fast; I ordered on a Sunday evening, and received a phone call on Wednesday to arrange delivery. Unfortunately, they wanted to deliver with a semi, and there was no way that would make it up my rural driveway. I chose to pick it up from the distribution center about 20 minutes away (Detroit area).

Packaging – not so great. The plow was delivered in a cardboard box. A sturdy box, but still cardboard. Unfortunately the bottom was punctured during shipping. Several of the fasteners were loose in the box, and I ended up one nut and two washers short. I just picked these up at the local hardware store rather than returning the plow or contacting RealTruck.

Loading – since the plow comes unassembled, it was not an issue to load the pieces into my SUV. While the whole thing may weigh 265lbs, the pieces weigh no more than 40-50lbs each, at the most. No 'curbside' delivery is needed.

Assembly – straightforward, instructions very clear. I put it together in one evening. Electrical also very straightforward. No issues during assembly.

Use – we got a lot of snow this winter, and even though I purchased this in late January, I have used it several times. It works very well with the 4-6 inches I've plowed each time. Handles drifts as well.

Any negatives?

- the corded control is symmetrical, so you cannot tell by feel which way toggling the rocker switch will raise or lower the blade. For me, this means not putting the control down during plowing. I have a manual transmission, so this is awkward, but manageable.

- with as much snow as we had this year, I should have chosen the next plow size up. Not for the width, but for the added blade height. The snow piled too high on the sides of the drive for the plow to 'curl' the snow over it anymore. The extra 3" from the 19" to 22" height would be an advantage.

- already broke one of the markers; I wish individual replacements were available
Glad I bought this brand

Great plow. You have to watch the markers though, they bust off easy when it is cold and you get in deep snow.

This plow is perfect for driveway us. I did break it in the first snow we had, nearly 11" of snow and 4' drifts! Customer service sent a replacement quickly. Easy to work with. I will say I don't think it will stand up to several years worth of use. The supporting brackets/ metal should be thicker/ tougher. I will make my own thicker support system in the future! But the product is definitely worth the price! It sure beats shoveling or snowblowing.

After a couple of months use, I had an issue with my plow. Immediately upon contacting the company, they acknowledged the problem and two days later I had the retrofitted and improved part in my possession. Could not have been more helpful.

Also, after using the plow during a very difficult winter in Minnesota, I highly recommend it for personal use. Pretty much paid for itself in one winter!

Well made, easy assembly with simple tools. Works great on my long driveway and yard. Can't beat this product for the price. Connects in 1 minute and does a great job. Would not plow roads with it except short stretches. Replace upper clip hook with a hardened steel one.

I have a parking lot about 75 ft wide and 400 feet long. I have been using an ATV to plow it. It would take about 4 hours for 4" of snow or less and up to 12 hours when we had 10"-12" of snow. We have only had 2 snowstorms since I bought the plow this winter and hooked it up to my truck, I can plow my parking lot and in front of my house, all in about 2.5 hours if it is 4" or 5" and 3.5 hours with the one heavy wet storm that was 10" I am very pleased with the ease and speed at which it works. I got the remote rather than wiring it direct, and can now sit in a warm dry cab while I plow. I have to push everything into 4 piles, I just can't plow it all to one side, which takes a little more time. But this plow works great. I have a 2 wheel drive truck which everyone told me would not work, yet it does work just fine with this K2 Blade. I did have 1 minor problem when a weld broke on the A frame. I took it to the local machine shop it have it redone. Real truck reimbursed me for the cost of repairs without any questions asked. Great product, and Great company to work with. I will buy another one if I ever need to without any hesitation.

I wouldnt use this for commercial plowing, but highly reccommend it to all home-owners who want to do their own drives. It attaches easily, operates great. Used it 2 times already since buy and am tickled pink. Only downside, all bolts at bottom of blade heads popped off on first use. Replaced them w/ bolts from local store, no problems on second use. Extremely satisfied, cant rave about it enough, priced better than anywhere else. Buy this, buy this, buy this before they raise the price. You wont be sorry!
