easily assembled and appears to be a quality unit. fit like a glove. Recommend this if more storage is required.
The instructions could use some clarification. The Congo Cage is a good product and meets my needs. I fail to understand why companies are too lazy to have the assembly instructions more clear and succinct.
I was having a problem with wind noise. I purchased this wind deflector and it made a huge deference. I would recommend this to a friend.
Just got back from a week in the desert. This rack was great. Carried gear and a bike on top and two Gerry cans on the back. Love that I can climb on top to work with gear and straps. I highly recommend it.
This is the second Kargo Master Congo Cage I've owned. I got the dest deal at RealTruck, and free shipping to boot.
Roof rack works perfect. I use it manly for surfboards, but have carried lumber on it. Only thing I don't like is the curved top bars. The earlier models came with straight bars. I just took the bars and turned them sideways so the curved so from the side their is no curve sticking up. All I had to do was drill new holes in the bars.
It is a great rack for my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited . Use it to take my Kayak all over . Thanks for a great product.
rack lookes good but makes a lot of wind noise going down the road more then my soft top does. needs to have some type of quick disconnect on front tubes for droping soft top instead of bolts that you have to unscrew and screw back takes to much time and effort the way it is set up. Could be a little bit narrower on back mounts they stick out a little to far, other then that it seems to function ok. only have had for two months we will see how long it lasts beach side.
By myself it took six hours to install on my 91yj.it is heavy duty and well constructed.
If you get the Congo Cage and drive 60 or fast you have to get the Wind Deflector or you'll drive yourself crazy. With out the Deflector you can't use the blue tooth phone or even talk with your passenger. I'm very hard of hearing and need hearing aids and usually wind noise doesn't bother me but the cage without the deflector was bad even for me with it, it's not noticeable. I highly recommend the Kargo Master Winf Deflector 60161.
Couldn't rate appearance, installation price/value or quality because your damn review kept jumping all over the screen making it impossible to rate anything. Overall it was good but once installed it was noisy as hell at 50 mph or over.
