Frequently Asked Questions
Questions about the Load handler®
Q: What is the Load handler®? A: Load handler® is the most economical pickup truck unloader available. Read more about it.
Q: How does it work? A: You wind a handle and the load comes off. In engineering terms, it's a combination of high mechanical advantage and low friction.
Q: How strong do I need to be? A: If you can lift 70 lbs. you can unload 1.5 tons.
Q: Who is the Load handler® customer? A: Landscapers, gardeners, farmers, do-it yourselfers, camp-grounds, utilities or anyone who owns a pickup truck.
Q: Can I install it myself? A: Yes. The first "fitting" will take 3 to 5 minutes. After that it takes about 30 seconds to install or detach.
Q: What is the drag sheet? A: The drag sheet is a close woven polyolefin fiber with a tensile strength of 10 tons across its width.
Q: How long will the drag sheet last? A: That depends on how often it is used and what loads it moves. With care it should last many years.
Q: Will it fit my truck? A: Yes, and it is available in 2,000 and 3,000 pound models. See ordering information below.
Q: What is the warranty? A: The load handler has a 12-month warranty. Please see attached PDF below for complete details.

NOTE: Load handler units have adjustable brackets that belt onto the tops of tailgates, so it is the width of the tailgate (left to right, or Driver Side to Passenger Side) that is important in determining which Load handler models will fit your truck.
Bed length and type of cab are not important in determining which Load handler model to purchase.
Full-Size (fleet side) tailgate widths range from 61" - 67" and can accommodate either the LH2000 or LH3000.

Very happy with my purchase. Have a lawn care business and this makes it so much easier to get the grass out of my truck! Would definitely purchase another! The only thing I'd change is the sticker that says "Made in China" to Made in the USA!
Have had the unloader for a little over a month now. Used it for stone, mulch, and firewood. Can't tell you how much work and back strain this has saved me. Was a bit worried about the first load of stone. Got loaded a bit heavier than I would have liked but this thing got the job done for me. The toughest part of the unload was moving the truck and raking the stone. I love this thing and have recommended it to several others.
Assembly was easy although the hardware (Strap locks) for the tailgate straps that hold down the tailgate when unloading are a bit cheap, one side fell apart while assembling it, bad rivets on the hinge.
Other than having to Macgyver a replacement for those locks I would recommend this product to anyone that needs to unload materials from a truck bed without much effort.
Note: using an old tarp under the drag sheet helps to prevent cuts and tares increasing the life of this product.
Got this for my husband. He was skeptical about whether it would work. It was fairly easy to install and works great. What a timesaver and back saver it is. We've hauled stone, mulch and dirt. No problems at all moving it off the truck bed.
great product I recommend it to anyone
I have a bed liner.unloaded #5000lb of #57's (90%) in under 5 minutes.
This is an awesome piece of equipment. Now I can get gravel without having to pay the price for delivery plus mostly no raking or shoveling. The only thing I did was by the bed liner for the truck so the dragsheet doesn't wear out so quickly. I'm older so I do need a little help putting it on the tailgate but it is an awesome, work-saving piece of equipment.
We use 3 of these for our lawn mowing crews. They dump their trucks every night, 40 weeks a year. We did have to replace the mat after about 5 years of use, which I felt was awesome considering the low cost. We even occasionally have to switch them between trucks and it isn't too hard to do.
I got 10 loads 1 ton at a time. I used a second tarp on top of the unloader so the 2B stones would not fall of the side. The plactic bracket that goes over the tailgate need to be metal! This was easier then unloading stone be hand but it's no way near as easy as the video shows. My one bracket broke after a 1 ton load get dumped to fast, ask the driver to easy the load a little at a time to easy the energy to the brackets.
Surpassed my expectations the first time I used, saves time and labor. Wish I would of bought one years ago, My only problem was figuring out the correct way to thread the buckles they need a better detail on that
