love the step but had to drill my own hole for the lock pin as the original was too far back from the face plate leaving it loose. This may work in most hitches but I installed on a 11 Honda Ridgeline with factory receiver. Service from Realtruck great as always.

This is my second one - word of caution - don't back into a retaining wall because the metal doesn't like that. But the step works exactly as advertised and I really like the product

I was very pleased with this hitch step because of its sturdy design, and the fact that it folds down to a lower level than other "fixed" type hitch step designs. The step, in the down position, lays nearly directly between the ground and rear bumper step on my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I got this step to assist my children in climbing into the rear section of the Jeep. The only complaints I have are that the step takes a bit of force to pivot downward, more than my children can muster, and also that it just looks a little bit awkward when it is in the up position. This is because its brushed aluminum finish really catches your eye. I think a black finish would be an improvement.
