Lund Interceptor Bug Shield
- Full height wrap around design
- Premium hood & windshield protection
- Dark smoke or clear style
- Made for pickup trucks and SUVs
- Impact resistant polycarbonate construction
- Made in the USA
The full height and wrap around style of the Lund bug shield is what sets it apart from the competition. Made from heavy duty polycarbonate material, Lund hood deflectors are virtually indestructible and ready to knock back what nature and the road throws at you.
Made for trucks and sport utility vehicles, this shield is mounted away from your hood, making cleaning easy. It also reduces the risk of scratching your paint job when you decide to take a Chamois cloth to your ride.
Available in a sleek dark smoke finish, the Lund bug deflector is the perfect complimentary accessory for any vehicle. Because of the high profile design, it functions well for deflecting road grit, flying rocks, and, of course, insects.
Installation for most Lund Interceptor bug shield applications is a bolt on, no drill process.

These deflectors are usually clamps or stick on, this one was a combination of both which would have been fine, but the taped surface did not mate perfectly with the hood. The tape is pulled from the deflector in spots and from the hood in others. We had to spring it a little to push the clips on the outside edge of the hood. In our struggle to make it work the center of the deflector is just a bit high on the hood allowing a few bugs to catch below the deflector and the lip of the hood. If the tape wasn't so difficult to remove, we would try to re-install, but it just didn't fit well.
I purchased the Lund Interceptor Bug Shield for my 2015 Chev Colorado. Overall, the installation was fairly simple-- I took my time, and followed the instructions sheet. Instad of using a grease pencil for pre-marking the placement of the adhesive strips, I used a black Sharpie (marks were on the underside of the hood anyway!). The Bug Shield has a nice, somewhat sleek, low-profile appearance. I'm very happy with it, worth the cost.
durable shield that can be painted to the vehicle color, easy to install and looks great! THANK YOU
A bit pricey but went on fast and looks great.
This was a replacement for the original one I purchased in 2001. Original one had Ford logo stamped on edge of shield and fit closer to hood, this one has Lund logo emblem on right side. This one is raised higher off hood. A plus is that the original had small buttons stuck on hood so it did not contact hood. The new one still does not distract from view over hood. Both have "ears" sticking around outside of hood, believe someone caught ear and broke original. Lasted for 13 years!
Easy install looks great no problems
New Ford F-250. Didn't know how this would look as the front grill is almost like a bug shield in itself. But it looks great, easy to install and enhances the look of the front end. Also great protection for the hood on either side of the grill. I would recommend to Ford truck owners.
Looks great, easy to install and does the job
The instructions were pretty vague, my shield would not stay down with the double sided tape provided, however on my 2014 Tundra I had put it on the Chrome Grill and not the painted part on the hood itself, after taking it off because it was not staying put and also pulling my chrome piece loose. I am going to try and redo it,taping it down to the painted portion of the hood.
