Constructed of heavy-duty steel for the most demanding jobs, the Hitch Hand acts as a rugged, multi-use extension of a truck's bed, providing extra support for long loads as well as a handy, on-the-job workspace. A patented steel wall support bar provides 7" of added ground clearance and acts like a spring, flexing with the vehicles suspension. Plus, the Hitch Hand features side wings that adjust from 27" to 49" to accommodate wide cargo like full sheets of plywood and drywall. The Hitch Hand delivers a generous 750-pound distributed load capacity. The side supports are designed to fold down to create a portable sawhorse or worktable. The Hitch Hand fits in standard 2" receiver hitches and comes complete with D.O.T. approved red/white reflective tape and safety flag.

I purchased this item to move a large amount of lumber 100 miles. I used the Bed Extender to almost it's max capacity. I had no problems at all. It is very easy to use and put together.I expanded the rear section 2 notches on each side and still had more than enough room. If you have a vehicle with a 2 inch receiver hitch and need to move long items this is the item you need. I am very pleased I ordered it.

Absolutely love it!! I bought it so I could carry my kayaks and its such a breeze to put together and take apart. I priced the roof racks and was shocked to find out how much they were. This is so much better and it was a third of the cost of the roof racks. I highly recommend it!

I have the 5' 6" pickup bed. With the extender it is almost 11' from the front of the bed. I can easily carry 14' lumber now. I just put a red flag on the end of the material. Great product.

I'm using this product to extend a 6ft bed in order to haul a 12ft kayak. I couldn't be happier. Works great! I'd talked to a welder about fabricating something similar. He quoted me a price of approximately $200.00 plus materials.Paying $180.00 was a real deal and I think I got a nicer product

I bought this bed extender so that I could carry kayaks on the short bed of our Ram 250 truck which we use to haul horse trailers. There are kayak-carrying devices for the roof of a truck but I didn't want the same problem I was having with cars. I was tired of pushing kayaks on top of SUV's, as I am only 5.1 feet tall. You guessed it, ladders and walking on the roof of the car! I was about to buy a small car just to carry kayaks! Then I found this product online. It came out of the box as described. I wrapped the main crossbar in removable bubble wrap and duct tape to prevent bumping the fiberglass boat bottom and sides. With this type of protective wrap, which I can undo in seconsd, I retain the freedom to adjust for the width of 1-3 kayaks. What flexibility. Further, the extender adjusts for lengths of kayaks, for height, it flips to serve other needs. AND it was much cheaper than roof racks offered by mainstream companies. It comes apart quickly so I can store it. I only wish I'd known about it years ago. I couldn't be happier.
