All Magnaflow direct fit converters are designed for easy bolt on installation and require no cutting, welding, or bending.

Magnaflow Catalytic Converters do not include any gaskets, bolts, or hardware for installation. All original gaskets and hardware will be re-used.

SELECTING THE PROPER UNIVERSAL:
(Non OBD-II Vehicles)
Engine Size:
Determine engine size before selecting the converter. Converters are listed according to legal engine size.
If engine has been changed and is not the same model year as the chassis, proceed as follows:
- If the engine is older than the chassis, select the converter according to the chassis model year.
- If the engine is newer than the chassis, select the converter according to the engine requirement.
- Inform the owner that improper engine switching is not legal. The customer and the shop that switched the engine could be fined $2,500.00.
Converter Type:
Determine the type of converter being replaced. Check whether the converter is a 2-Way, 3-Way, or 3-Way + Air (

Vehicle Weight (Test Weight):
Determine the weight limit before selecting the converter. Converter coverage is listed according to Test Weight.
How To Calculate Vehicle Test Weight:
For passenger cars and light duty trucks less than 6000 lbs. GVW
Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) Less Vehicle Capacity Plus 300 Lbs. = Vehicle Test Weight.
For trucks over 6000 pounds GVW
(Gross Vehicle Weight + Curb Weight) x 1/2 = Vehicle Test Weight

Installation
Most Direct Fit Catalytic Converters offer a direct bolt on design for quick and easy installation. At home installation with general hand tools is possible for most users with general mechanical knowledge. Some applications may require cutting and welding.

Perfect replacement catalytic converter for my 2002 Subaru WRX after the stock one died. Easy bolt on replacement without any need for custom modifications. Realtruck.com did their part and also was going to allow me to return it before I put it on for the reason of me just not wanting it! I ended up installing it on the Jeep and found my performance to be restored a bit. I must have had a somewhat clogged Cat. The reason I give 3 stars is because of the welds on the Magnaflow cat from the manufacturer. When the Jeep was running the weld was hissing and bubbling with moisture from inside out. It doesn't bother me much. It doesn't stop the Cat from doing its job but it is a manufacturer flaw.

The product did not fit the car without modification. The diameter of the input part of the catalytic converter was just as wide as the exhaust tubing which did not allow it to bolt together so it had to be cut. Otherwise, it works.
