The best nerf bars on the market are the kind that can get you in and out of the cab of your pickup truck, SUV or CUV with ease and comfort.  They provide a non-slip stepping surface that allows your shoe to grip something solid during normal, wet, icy, muddy, or any other combination of weather conditions.

RealTruck doesn’t just read about these nerf bars from these brands and vendors – we install them on OUR trucks and SUVs.  We test them ourselves.  We get in and out of our Chevys and Dodges in all weather conditions to see how they stand up to the test of time as well as moisture conditions.  We’re not going to sell you something that doesn’t even live up to our expectations.

Sizes and Features
RealTruck isn’t a very large company, but we did discover something right away when we started testing out nerf bars.  Each and every one of us had different needs when it came to our vehicles.  It was the biggest indicator to us that we had to carry a really wide variety of sizes, lengths and finishes.  One size certainly does not fit all!

We carry both cab length and wheel to wheel length fit nerf bars for your vehicle.  Cab length side steps are simply custom made to fit the length of your cab.  So if you have a crew cab, quad, king, etc. – we’ll send you the appropriate match when you order.  Wheel to wheel length tube steps are the longest set you can buy for your vehicle.  They run from the back of your front wheel to the front of your back wheel.  Again, they’re custom made to the year, make and model of your ride.  

Nerf bars come in two basic diameter shapes – round and oval.  Round was the original nerf bar and we carry them in 2”, 3”, and 4” widths.  They give your truck a classic look and many people prefer to add these for a minimalistic stylish upgrade.  They’re completely functional, even the 2 inch size!  

Oval nerf bars can look considerably larger than the classic round style.  These come in 4”, 5” and 6” diameter widths.  The stepping pad is more substantial and some even consider the 6 inch tube step to be more like a running board!  

While round and oval nerfs are the most abundant styles of tube steps on our site, we also carry hoops steps.  These are tube steps with hooped stepping areas that are dropped down.  The step pads are replaced with custom imprinted diamond pattern grip areas.  It’s a clean and rugged look that many of our Jeep customers are adopting.

Last, but certainly not least, when it comes to selecting what nerf bar you’re going to purchase is the finish.  RealTruck offers classic chrome, traditional stainless steel, and powdercoat black.  Some brands even allow you to paint to match your vehicle’s exterior color.  Please check with the product description to see if this is an option.

Installation
Let’s ponder some issues that may arrive when your new side step bars arrive at your front door.  You’re going to be ready to get them on in a hurry because you know they’re going to look HOT!  So let’s go.

Wait!  Do you have everything you need?  The answer is  – yes!  

Don’t worry, most of our nerf bars are no-drill installation.  This means that all the parts come shipped with the bars, including the brackets and bolts.  The bars are custom fit the year, make and model of your vehicle.  The brackets are aligned to fit with the factory pre-drilled holes located on the undercarriage of your pickup, SUV or CUV.

So now, all you need to do is securely fasten everything on according to your nerfs individual instructions and then start cruising Broadway.  Pretty sweet, wouldn’t you say?
