The roll top cover is made out of heavy gauge aluminum panels that are polymer padded and coated with a thick layer of rust resistant aluminum. This bad boy seamlessly forms to your truck bed and funnels all moisture to the canister and through the drain tubes, keeping your truck bed high and dry. 2 black powdercoated rails allow the aluminum panels to glide unobstructed for an extremely quite opening and closing process. In addition, the heavy duty springs help the cover retract, ensuring fast and easy truck bed access.

It slides along the rails that are mounted to your truck bed. It rolls around the canister reel with the help of a spring that maintains tension at all times.
Will the cover keep the truck bed dry? What about ice and snow? The Roll Top cover is designed to collect into the canister. Icluded drainage which is located at the base of the canister dispell water outside the truck. Water can't pass through the polymer top, however water can get through components such as the tailgate, stake pockets, etc. These components require proper sealing during installation. We do not claim that our covers are 100% waterproof, and have never heard this claim regarding a competing cover. Be very cautious if a manufacturer says that their retractable cover is 100% waterproof. Snow should be swept off of the cover with a broom before operating the cover otherwise you will end up with the snow in the truck bed. Ice can be removed by taking your hand and smacking the cover as close to the middle as possible this will cause a vibration in the cover that breaks up the ice making it easy to remove. Do not use anything but your hand for this.
How does the cover lock? The cover locks with a key in the center of the cover near the tailgate. The key turns the arms of the lock that lock into the side rails mounted on the sides of the truck bed. Besides the lock position at the tailgate, there is also a second lock position 20 inches forward of the tailgate (for loading small items) and at 60 inches on all full-size long bed trucks for use with 5th wheel applications. Pace Edwards can add an additional locking position to fit your specifications for a small upcharge. This may add five days to the shipping date.
Will the cover work with my bedliner? The rails on our cover are designed to fasten directly on the sill of the truck bed. If you have a bedliner that covers the sill, modification will be required. Most under-the-rail bedliners are more easily fitted with our cover, but may also require modification near the front corners. See Bedliner modification sheet below. Please call our Technical Support Reps for information regarding fit with your bedliner.
Apply a very small amount of grease to the wear strips occasionally for a smooth opening process. Re-grease about once a year or when the it starts to squeek. After installation, if the cover is tight or hard to open and close, the shimming may need to be redone. Over a period of time, if the cover becomes difficult to move in or out (particularly on hot days), check that the side-to-side clearance on the Roll-Top-Cover is set at 1/8” or more on both sides. Drain tubes may become clogged over time and should be removed and cleaned. Periodically remove the top cover and clean out the canister. To help keep the Roll-Top-Cover retractable tonneau cover looking its best, we recommend washing it the same as caring for your truck finish. However you should not wax your cover. Using a citrus based vinyl cleaner and protectant such as Pace Edwards Brand or the 303 brand will keep your cover looking like new. Alcohol, petroleum based or silicon-based cleaners such as Armor-All should be avoided and ARE NOT recommended for our covers.

After all the confusion, everything turned out fine, except for the actual cover. It is just an entry level cover. not of high quality hard to install would have much rather bought the Roll N Lock. Maybe later.

well, its a good cover but for as much as it is i thought it would be better. One thing they need to figure out is to make the locking arms and cover all in one. i had to drill out rivets which are located where you slide the locking arms into the cover and install new ones, which they didn't claim you had to do. One more thing, after i installed it and rolled out the cover, which is the last step, i noticed two pin holes in the center. to damn late to take it off after four hours of installation. would i recommend it, no...

The clamp kit I received had parts missing or too much of one thing and not enough of another The clamps to hold cover on bed of truck were complete The cannister that the cover rolles up into has 4 holes to retain it to the truck there were 4 long bolts included that are for this purpose but only 2 clamps and 2 fender washers If you try to retain it with 2 clamps the container twists and distorts out of shape when bolts are tightend so I ended up drilling holes in the bed of my pick up exactly why I paid nearly 50.00 for the clamp kit so I wouldn't have to do that

This cover although it is made quite well still leaves a lot to be desired The locking mechanism is terrible as you can only hold it closed by inserting the key and locking it while the spring is trying to retract the top in the meantime (I would not buy again it needs a hendle to turn to fasten it closed leaving the purchaser to decide whether they want to lock it or not) None of this is explained in the features when comparing to other products,I was informed by manifacturer that if I had bought a upgraded cover it includes a handle that would be acceptable if they told you that feature was not included when purchasing Its a day late and a dollar short after its shipped across the country to be told that. A NOT TOO HAPPY CONSUMER
