It wasn't what I expected when it arrived. I expected a single light bar not a rolled up light tape bar. Two individual tape lights one for left and one for the right side. It wouldn't work on my truck for some reason so I plugged it in my buddies truck and it worked for him so I give it to him. Had I known it was going to come in a 6"x6" box I would have never ordered it.

I bought 2 sets of the Fire and Ice LED tailgate bar lights and I had problems with both of them, one of them had 3 red lights that didn't work and 4 white lights that didn't work, the other one also had lights that didn't work but I was able to use it because they were out on the very ends and I needed to cut them anyway,and good luck trying to get help from the manufacture they won't return your call, all you get is a voice mail, very poor product for what you pay for it.If you can find the kind that are not the flexible ones you are alot better off.

Good product, looks great. The only problem I had was I had to hard wire mine and the directions were very vague, could have been more discriptive foe each individual model.(I know very little about wiring though) Over all very nice.

It is an AWESOME product. However when you go to hardwire the reverse light and you don't know which wire it reverse, it make it a little harder.

Should have checked it BEFORE putting it on the truck! Last set of LEDs on both sides didn't work...both sets flashed when the turn signal was on. I had it wired through a Delphi GM 7 Pin splitter to a 4 pin hook up. Took a week to get a return authorization. I'll definetely check the LEDs BEFORE I put it on the truck this time! Other than that, it was an okay "toy". Not nearly as bright as I thought it would be...

Nice Product the best thing about it is that you can cut each end of the bar to fit your vechicle if you can"t get one to fit your ride.Its also got reverse lights built in to it, like it good investment to own..

Good product, The strip is two pieces, one for each side. This means there will be about a one inch gap in the middle with no light when you butt the two ends together. The width of the strip is very small, about 1/2 an inch, which is good for tight places. It uses a 4 pin trailer plug to install, although I hard wired it. Overall very good for the price.

This is NOT a bar....its two flexible strips and i was very disappointed when i got it..it's made so that you have to install the strips with the wires to the center facing each other because of the short length of wire with a inline juction box it came with...the ends with the wires have a thick piece of heat shrink which will force you to have a three inch gap between the LED's (strip to strip)
when installed...or you can overlap the ends which tightens the three inch gap but the overlap may not stick very well using the pre-installed tape stip on the back side of the strips (which it came with). I think its a very poor design and Plasmaglow might want to consider making it a ONE stip bar instead of two. After contacting Plasmaglow, i was told i can splice more wire into the short section mentioned above and reverse the strips so that the wire connections are at the outside of each strip instead of the center. For the price paid, why should you have to modify this? To me the three gap in the LED's sucks, its no longer a continuous set of LED's.

This Flexible Light Bar comes in two sections so I put one on each side of the hole for the spare tire wench tool. The fit is good. The little ballast box came with double stick tape on it, but it wouldn't stay on the back side of the bumper. I added industrial strength Velcro (for high temp outdoor use) and it now stays put. It works fine and looks nice. However, the lights are not as bright as I thought they would be.

This LED tailgate bar isn't exactly a "bar". Do not let that fool you though for the quality that you get. It actually turned out to be more appropriate for my truck, without getting in the way of the tailgate when lowered. The installation was also very simple. Within 20 minutes, everything was hooked up and lights were tested to make sure they work. It blends in great on my black truck, and at night the lights look awesome. Realtruck was very easy to deal with, and I recommend them to anyone. I will also be buying from here again.

This Product is awsome, i just put it on my Nissan TITAN its very easy to install and really adds a nice custum look to your truck. The Fire & Ice LED tailgate bar has turn signals, running lites, and red and white reverse lights, they would also work well on a trailer, you wont be dissapointed in this product.Thanks Real Truck!!!!!!

This product may not be worth your time. I believe mine came disfunctional from the beggining I still cant get the turn signals to work on mine and one side of the light bar is brighter than the other. They should send me another one because the one they sent was a sure piece of you no what. Very frustrating when you pay that much for something and then it doesn't work right...

I give this product a low rating, not because of the quality ,but because it doesn,t tell you it won't fit on a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 I even called the manufacturer and they offered no positive help, Evidentally they haven't tried that model either from responses I received from them. There isn't enough room between lip on bottom of tailgate and the truck bed when the tailgate is let down to the open position it will and did crush the light bar. If you raise the lite bar to clear the tail gate when you close the tail gate you can no longer see the lite bar If you lower the light bar it will cover the access Hole to lower spare tire. So the only way to mount it is on the outer surface of the tail gate itself if you like that type of mounting

double sided tape is a joke. Did not fit correctly in my 08 tundra and had to modify to install. had to flip over and then had to cut turnsignal wires and swap left for right. Ended up using self tapping screws to install. how about a diagram of wire colors to help speed the connection of the backup lights. Looks good but a serious pain to install

The turn signals don't work when the parking lights are on.The turn signals don't work once I apply the brakes.The brake lights don't work if the parking lights are on.Try to contact plasmaglow by email and phone no response.I would definetly not ever reccomend this product to no one.

2008 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT Crew Cab: Make sure to CHECK CLEARANCE FIRST !!! I lucked out. At "perfect" location clearance was pretty much almost zero. Brake, signal & backup lites work great. Suggest not hooking up running lites (brown wire) so that brake and signals appear brighter and get better attention (personal preference). "Perfect" installation takes a little bit of time. Suggest having two people help with getting the strip "perfectly" horizontal(strip tends to "bow" in the middle a bit making it difficult for one person to line it up and keep entire strip straight at the same time. Had to cut 1/8" off left hand mounting tab to get strip centered (needed this to avoid sheetmetal overlap on vehicle). Cutting was easy ... plastic cuts like butter with a hacksaw. White backup lites are neat, but when brakes are applied the combination of the white and red leds gives the "look" of red-white-blue (very patriotic .. might just be my eyes). I hardwired it just behind my 7-wire trailer plug. easy to do ... just took a litle time, some connectors, electrical tape and ties to make it look "perfect." Very happy with the lite strip, but the directions are pretty much worthless ... common sense, with a little bit of trial & error works best. Would I purchase this product again ? Definitely a "YES."
Finally: PlasmaGlow does an excellent job of packaging. Strip is shipped in a rigid heavy cardboard tube within a ligher weight box.
Damage in shipping should not happen unless shipper really makes an effort at damage ...

Wiring is substandard. Power on all out puts from truck. Pigtail on light bar does not pick up Lights on. I guess I'll need to hard wire to make this feature work.

Just wanted to say that this product is awesome. It is mounted on a white GMC 2500 and really light's up the rear end. The biggest sale was the backup lights. They work great hooking up trailers in the dark, besides they look cool. One of the best investments for a truck.

Looks great when it lights up, and the back up lights look awesome. Pretty easy to install, and tape sticks pretty well. Only complaint is on the passenger side of the bed, there is a hole and pre-formed part that does not allow the lights to sit flush. Needs a spacer to keep it stuck to the metal. Other than that it would have been 5 out of 5 stars.

Installation instructions are not very good. Had to reverse wiring on left/right turn signals for proper mounting on my Tundra. Also, if you want white reverse lights to work, you will need to tap into wiring harness on your towing connection. All that being said, this looks cool and allows others to see you better at night.

Looks awesome on my car. I hardwired it to my car and it looks great. Only thing wrong is that there are no running lights when you hardwire. But if you hook it up with a trailer adapter there are running lights. If you want to find out how to hardwire it to your truck look in your trucks manual and look up "trailer wiring" or "trailer lights". Only problem I had was the shipping with FedEx and they lost my package, but I was sent another one with no charge. Again, this product is awesome and cheap to get. GET THIS!!

Previously bought another LED bar that failed after 6 months. This product carries a limited lifetime warranty, which did influence my decision to purchase. Installation was easy and only 15 minutes since the harness was already modified to accept the hitch plug. This product is used on an '02 Dakota and since there is no "under tailgate" area to place, it must secure on the tailgate itself. The stiffness of the led mount allows the unit to remain straight unlike my last product. I gave 4/5 since I've only had this for 2 weeks...so far - excellent. stay tuned.

The reverse conection should be easyer than having to run a wire to your tail lights to make it work. The advertisment says its a easy install, I do not want to cut into my factory wiring to make the light to work.

I have not seen my PLASMAGLOW Fire & Ice L.E.D. Tailgate Lite Bar yet " B-CUZ I HAVE NEVER BEEN BEHIND MY TRUCK GOING DOWN THE ROAD " It's the weirdest thing though - People pull up along side of me at a stop light at night and roll down their window and say " HEY WHERE DID YOU GET THE L. E. D. LITES THEY ARE REALLY COOL ,I COULD SEE YOUR BRAKE LITES AND TURN SIGNALS FLASHERS A 100 YDS AWAY THEY REALLY GOT MY ATTENTION !!! " Well that's what I wanted so I feel that I got what I paid for.

After installing on truck I found 1 white LED was not working. Had to send back to Plasmaglow and pay shipping to them. After Plasmaglow recieved the tailgate bar and determined it was bad they shipped another one to me. Realtruck offered a gift certificate for my next purchase. Also Realtruck was very helpful in following up with Plasmaglow and myself.
