double sided tape is a joke. Did not fit correctly in my 08 tundra and had to modify to install. had to flip over and then had to cut turnsignal wires and swap left for right. Ended up using self tapping screws to install. how about a diagram of wire colors to help speed the connection of the backup lights. Looks good but a serious pain to install

The turn signals don't work when the parking lights are on.The turn signals don't work once I apply the brakes.The brake lights don't work if the parking lights are on.Try to contact plasmaglow by email and phone no response.I would definetly not ever reccomend this product to no one.

2008 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT Crew Cab: Make sure to CHECK CLEARANCE FIRST !!! I lucked out. At "perfect" location clearance was pretty much almost zero. Brake, signal & backup lites work great. Suggest not hooking up running lites (brown wire) so that brake and signals appear brighter and get better attention (personal preference). "Perfect" installation takes a little bit of time. Suggest having two people help with getting the strip "perfectly" horizontal(strip tends to "bow" in the middle a bit making it difficult for one person to line it up and keep entire strip straight at the same time. Had to cut 1/8" off left hand mounting tab to get strip centered (needed this to avoid sheetmetal overlap on vehicle). Cutting was easy ... plastic cuts like butter with a hacksaw. White backup lites are neat, but when brakes are applied the combination of the white and red leds gives the "look" of red-white-blue (very patriotic .. might just be my eyes). I hardwired it just behind my 7-wire trailer plug. easy to do ... just took a litle time, some connectors, electrical tape and ties to make it look "perfect." Very happy with the lite strip, but the directions are pretty much worthless ... common sense, with a little bit of trial & error works best. Would I purchase this product again ? Definitely a "YES."
Finally: PlasmaGlow does an excellent job of packaging. Strip is shipped in a rigid heavy cardboard tube within a ligher weight box.
Damage in shipping should not happen unless shipper really makes an effort at damage ...

Wiring is substandard. Power on all out puts from truck. Pigtail on light bar does not pick up Lights on. I guess I'll need to hard wire to make this feature work.

Just wanted to say that this product is awesome. It is mounted on a white GMC 2500 and really light's up the rear end. The biggest sale was the backup lights. They work great hooking up trailers in the dark, besides they look cool. One of the best investments for a truck.

It looks good on my truck and is very bright so i'm sure it will help. the only down side was having to find and tie into the reverse lights. Overall a good product so far and it comes with guarentee.

Looks great when it lights up, and the back up lights look awesome. Pretty easy to install, and tape sticks pretty well. Only complaint is on the passenger side of the bed, there is a hole and pre-formed part that does not allow the lights to sit flush. Needs a spacer to keep it stuck to the metal. Other than that it would have been 5 out of 5 stars.

Installation instructions are not very good. Had to reverse wiring on left/right turn signals for proper mounting on my Tundra. Also, if you want white reverse lights to work, you will need to tap into wiring harness on your towing connection. All that being said, this looks cool and allows others to see you better at night.

My only comment would be that a wire connector or wire splice fitting be included to aid in the connection of the white reverse wire.

Looks awesome on my car. I hardwired it to my car and it looks great. Only thing wrong is that there are no running lights when you hardwire. But if you hook it up with a trailer adapter there are running lights. If you want to find out how to hardwire it to your truck look in your trucks manual and look up "trailer wiring" or "trailer lights". Only problem I had was the shipping with FedEx and they lost my package, but I was sent another one with no charge. Again, this product is awesome and cheap to get. GET THIS!!

Previously bought another LED bar that failed after 6 months. This product carries a limited lifetime warranty, which did influence my decision to purchase. Installation was easy and only 15 minutes since the harness was already modified to accept the hitch plug. This product is used on an '02 Dakota and since there is no "under tailgate" area to place, it must secure on the tailgate itself. The stiffness of the led mount allows the unit to remain straight unlike my last product. I gave 4/5 since I've only had this for 2 weeks...so far - excellent. stay tuned.

The reverse conection should be easyer than having to run a wire to your tail lights to make it work. The advertisment says its a easy install, I do not want to cut into my factory wiring to make the light to work.

I have not seen my PLASMAGLOW Fire & Ice L.E.D. Tailgate Lite Bar yet " B-CUZ I HAVE NEVER BEEN BEHIND MY TRUCK GOING DOWN THE ROAD " It's the weirdest thing though - People pull up along side of me at a stop light at night and roll down their window and say " HEY WHERE DID YOU GET THE L. E. D. LITES THEY ARE REALLY COOL ,I COULD SEE YOUR BRAKE LITES AND TURN SIGNALS FLASHERS A 100 YDS AWAY THEY REALLY GOT MY ATTENTION !!! " Well that's what I wanted so I feel that I got what I paid for.

After installing on truck I found 1 white LED was not working. Had to send back to Plasmaglow and pay shipping to them. After Plasmaglow recieved the tailgate bar and determined it was bad they shipped another one to me. Realtruck offered a gift certificate for my next purchase. Also Realtruck was very helpful in following up with Plasmaglow and myself.
